The Coffee Lab is the BEST coffee after a long day of skiing in Crested Butte. It’s only about 200 feet from the base of the mountain. Considering we bribe our children to ski with hot chocolate, they are the PERFECT place to get coffee for us parents and hot chocolate for the kiddos! #winning.
They also offer muffins, bagels from Butte Bagels (the best in town!), and donuts. The milk choices they offer are whole milk, skim milk, almond milk, or oat milk. Enjoy!
Cozy coffee shop located at the base area of Mt Crested Butte, a minute walk from the lifts. Great coffee drinks, tasty pastries, some vegan options. Friendly staff, nice space.
Stopped here daily while skiing CB this week. Tried the breakfast burrito (pre-made, for $9), Americano, Latte, etc. Picked up a bag of their Dawn Patrol whole bean (12oz, $18) too. Baristas were friendly, coffee was good. Enjoyed taking it out by the firepit in the plaza. Will be back.
One of the best cortados I’ve ever had, which tells you they have good espresso and are thoughtful with their milk ratios.
Also, the person working 10/1 and 10/2 was the nicest most hard working person I’ve ever met. She was the only one working with a line out the door and she was kind, patient, quick, AND still made me the best coffee I had in CB. Other coffee shops in the area were also understaffed but were rude and threw together bad drinks. I hope the managers at coffee lab see this and give this worker a raise. She more than deserves it.
Multiple locations, convenient for all activities. Love the Gothic location. It is an incredible amenity! Loved the latte on my way to Judd Falls. Highly recommend stopping by before or after (or even both) your next hike, bike, or ski!
Quaint little coffee shop. The iced latte I got was amazing. The young man was also very friendly. Only docked one point because there’s no running water, could have used some ice water also.
Not just because it's the only place to get coffee at the ski resort, it is very good. They serve locally roasted coffee, it is called camp for, and if you go to the roasters actual store in downtown Crested Butte it is extremely small and crowded plus you will have to wait a long time for any sort of beverage usually standing outside. One of the better coffees here is simply the drip coffee, it is a dark roast called Sledgehammer.
I had the most satisfying vanilla latte yesterday at the Coffee Lab in Mountaineer Square. The aesthetic is lovely and creative! The daily roasts are posted as periodic elements! I love it! I bought a pound of coffee, too, and they ground it there for me (for my french press). The vibe is super chill, there's a no-wait drip coffee line for $2, and the staff are really friendly and knowledgeable about the CB area. I'll definitely be back!
On a cold and rainy afternoon we stopped in and thoroughly enjoyed the service and our beverages. We got a vanilla latte and a hot chocolate. Both were wonderful. Stop by and say hello 🤠

Burrito was burnt and stale. Croissant not good either. Coffee and hot cocoa was fine.
