Seating was all large tables which is not ideal if you want to work on something alone or go here for a date. The benches we're also really uncomfortable, it's not really a place to stay, IMO.
It was pretty quiet and the decorations were cute, if a little heavy on the hipster vibes.
There are exactly four syrup options for lattes, so pretty limited. The chai was weak but the barista did an excellent job steaming the milk to the perfect consistency. Overall, it was fine.

Nice quiet spot with patio seating. Trendy. Really good coffee, pretty pastries. Definitely a spot for coffee enthusiasts: menu isn't as broad as your typical chain but the quality is leagues ahead! Excellent coffee, great house-made nut milk, added flavor options are rich and not overly sweet. Definitely my local go to.

I was impressed with how quickly they were filling orders. Taking them was average. Employees were friendly. Only a couple of cozy seats, but tables for many.

The inside is so cool. The staff is friendly, welcoming, and readily have recommendations for what to order! I personally had the matcha with oat milk and honey (one of the recommendations) and it was to die for! Cute outside seating and a calm/quiet environment to get work done or read!

Edit:
The owners been pretty mean toward us lately. We've had consistency problems more recently and tried to address them as they came, as we have been regulars for awhile. Its been a lot of little things here and there thats kinda made the overall experience lower for us. Ive always known to give feedback when things are not to the usual standard. With the premium prices being charged, I would expect the consistency and service to match that experience.
Drink inconsistencies, food burnt or undercooked, buying things online only to have them sell it out before you get there to pick it up.
But after voicing concerns a few times (granted many times we over looked things), it honestly just made me more and more uncomfortable going here as some employees and even the owner have become quite cold. To the point of even being directly mean. Its probably better to not express many concerns here unless you are okay with tension. 😒 It seems more like a shut up and deal with it place, not really a community kinda place like many local coffee shops are. Kinda bummed because I did enjoy this spot the last few years on a weekly basis. But as someone who prefers consistency and to avoid conflict, esp. at a place that charges premium prices that I go to unwind, I wont frequent here anymore.
(I tried to put this as nicely as possible. But I have strong feelings on customer service and the standard places should hold towards their guests; regardless of if they like them or find them annoying them or not.)
Im sure this will get some shade. And everyone has off days and miscommunications.
But being rude to a guest picking you to give their money to on a regular basis, especially in this economy, is quite insensitive.
Old review:
I love getting Chai here. They make a wonderful in-house milk alternative that pairs perfectly with it.
The ambiance is super cozy and appealing and the drinks are consistently yummy (:

Knowledgeable staff. Delicious drip coffee, macrons, and v60 pour over coffee. I had the southern weather from onyx as my drip coffee and it was delicious straight black.

The Earl Rose Latte is perfectly floral. The Nitro Cold Brew is immaculate and smooth. The quiche is airy and flawless. The Loaded Avo is flavorful and unique. Wonderful

Great coffee, love the breakfast options, and the fact they have GF toast. Anytime I’m I’m Loveland this place will be my go to.

I've been coming here since they opened, and it has become one of my favorite places in Loveland. Not just one of my favorite coffee shops, one of my favorite places. The drinks are of the finest quality imaginable, the people are caring, fun, and wonderful, and the atmosphere is relaxing and inclusive. I can't say enough wonderful things about the place.

We live in Denver, but come to Loveland regularly to visit Dark Heart Coffee. One of our best discoveries--it's not your typical coffee place.
