Small space often used by remote workers. Hard to find seating. Coffee is good. Baked goods are average.

Had the most amazing nitro cold brew here. Great atmosphere, friendly people, and awesome service.

INCREDIBLE! Their coffee is phenomenal, tasty and made so well every time! I can’t wait to go back and ry out more of their coffee! Atmosphere is wonderful as well, very cozy place, perfect for what ever the day has in store for you!

Great local spot for dark roasts. They live up to the name. Friendly, prompt service. Kind of a weird part of town, the whole block is abandoned. Give it 5 years.

Amazing seasonal lattes, wonderful staff, and all-around awesome vibe, but way too small for its traffic. This small size is exacerbated by some of the older Loveland folk who tend to stare too long if you look different from the usual Lovelander.

We stopped in on Memorial Day to fuel up and wait out a morning thunder shower before biking to Boulder, CO.
We split a loaded avocado toast with a boiled egg, a Nutella cruffin, and a blueberry strawberry parfait with granola. The housemade granola is a must! So flavorful. The cruffin was fun, but I could have taken out left it. The toast was great! Loaded with fresh toppings and made with artisan bread.
I had a honey cortada with housemade nut milk and Jen had a lavender latte with the same housemade nut milk. Both were perfection and went very well with the food; the cortada was dark and rich, the latte smooth and sweet.

Honestly really disappointed with the consistency these days. The toast is always either entirely untoasted or burnt when the employees told me their toaster is bust and always does that i mentioned jokingly that toasters dont cost that much. Then the owner came by the table and told me in a very condescending tone to not order the toast there anymore.
If I'm being charged premium prices like 12 dollars for some toast that toast better be toasted to perfection. I will no longer be attending The DarkHeart as a regular due to this rude behavior from the owner.
Also the chai is almost never measured properly I have had cups that were easily 2-3 ounces shy of 12 and/or had over an inch of foam on top.
I am reducing my review from 5 stars to 2 for the rudeness and lack of consistency. Raising prices while quality of service declines is never a good business model nor is being openly rude to regulars.

Best coffee in town. Great atmosphere. Good service.
The only drawbacks are that they can get really busy. (Which is to be expected for a such great place.) And that I spend too much money going to Dark Heart all the time. 😁

Unfortunately, I found nothing that stood out coffee or environment. Hence the average amount of stars

Such a great atmosphere here. Every detail is meticulously hand crafted, from the out if this world coffee, to the architecture, atmosphere, and culture. You can't really beat the vibe and quality of Dark Heart. I highly recommend the Smokey Mocha or my favorite Cardamom Latte (when it's in season)!
