Awesome little cafe. Great cocktail selection. The breakfast tacos, burrito and chicken and waffles were amazing. We've been twice in a week! Staff is friendly and service is fast.

This is a cozy establishment with quick, attentive service! a great spot to stop by while on the road. The ski theme is great although seating is a bit tight f

Wow even on a Sunday morning when this place was packed, the staff was efficient, the kitchen was fast and the food was absolutely delicious. Really fun menu; my husband had a breakfast Gyro‘s. It was really amazing!

Outstanding breakfast served all day. Had the Burrito and Florentin Benedict adding ham. Burrito's green chili is mild, but very tasty. Service is very quick, attentive and friendly. Highly recommend.

We stopped here for a quick lunch before heading to Crested Butte. They say they treat you like family and they actually do! Very diverse menu and delicious mimosas.

Food was pretty solid but quite overpriced. Service was great and fast though, restroom was fairly clean.

Always a favorite when I am in Gunnison. I will wait all morning to get a seat if I have to. Although, that outdoor patio seating is taking the pressure off. This staff here is the only thing better than the food.

Great breakfast joint on the main drag of Gunnison. Wonderful options throughout the menu. The green chili is spectacular, went for the veggie version and the spice is right! The veggie breakfast burrito was impressive. Rolled tight and great egg to filling ratio. Crispy potatoes throughout paired with that green chili made for quite the delicious morning.

Passing through Gunnison again, we chose this place for lunch after we found the Dive closed. Backcountry Cafe seems popular and feels like a local place. We sat inside as there was a wait for the back patio.
Their menu offers all day breakfast as well as American-type lunch options. They have a lot of choices available and there's probably something for everyone.
Parents and fiancé all got Philly cheesesteaks and fries for lunch. I was feeling more breakfast-y, so I got the "Cowboy breakfast" which came with one egg, a pancake, and bacon. I also added a side of home fries.
The food was good. Nothing super remarkable, but good. Everything was cooked properly and they hit my preferred level of doneness on both my scrambled eggs and my bacon. The pancake was light and fluffy. My fam liked their Phillies and fries. The home fries were awesome but for a few larger bites that were a little undercooked.
Service was friendly and very fast -- despite being very busy, they got our food out to us in less than 15 minutes.
This is a good stop if you're craving some American grub or breakfast!

Burrito with English muffin. Second is the toasted hippie with spinach tomatoes and mushrooms on rye. Delicious!
