The French Press - Yosemite & Union

The French Press is a local chain that serves excellent breakfast and good coffee. Easy parking. You wait in a quick line to place your order at the counter and they bring the food to you. Not pretentious. Not expensive. They used to have the best bacon you have ever tasted, but I just went post-pandemic and it was different. Hopefully, they will go back. I recommend the breakfast salad, the pistachio pancakes, the raspberry oatmeal pancakes and the tres leches French toast. Great for a delicious and affordable brunch with friends, unless your friends want alcohol. Not served here.

We have been here for breakfast many times, which we love, but our first time for lunch was equally good. Great sandwiches!

Great french toast was goos articularly liked the pistacio pancakes.

Good food at a great price. The staff is very friendly and everyone seems to be quite customer focused. My favorite thing on the menu is biscuits and gravy. I’m not a big coffee drinker but I’ve heard from friends that their coffee is good. There is plenty of room to sit and eat after ordering. I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a yummy casual breakfast

Interesting menu with lots of choices to satisfy any palate, from those who prefer the more traditional to those who are willing to experience a new taste treat. The quality is always excellent and the portions generous. Yummy desserts and great coffee concoctions. Sit inside or out. Enjoy!

Been coming here for 4 years. Great food, great staff. The one qualm I have about it is that the WiFi is horrendous and it's just not possible to have a productive business meeting here due to this. Everyone talks about it, but it's never been fixed. I've emailed the owner several times about it, as I spend a considerable amount of money here working almost daily and no response at all. I feel fairly neglected, but hopefully they will take care of it and I will amend this review. Other than that, this is the best lunch and breakfast menu around.

Absolute favorite breakfast place ever. Huge menu with tons of options (even for someone with a LOT of dietary restrictions) and all at a great price!! Plus good coffee and a cozy neighborhood environment. It's my go to weekend spot. Menu has things like biscuits and gravy, Benedict's, omelettes, pancakes, huevos rancheros, the BEST breakfast burritos, salads, hashes and breakfast Sammies. Almost everything has a gluten free or vegetarian option too!

Excellent food! I ordered the black bean quinoa salad and tomato soup and it was absolutely delicious! Very fresh and prepared beautifully. Will be back to try other menu items!
