Bluebird Café

A cute coffee shop with a playful atmosphere. Lots of space with tables in different sizes, some with power outlets and there is free WiFi. There are some board games and books in case you need to while away some time.

The coffee is good, the food is somewhere between OK and very good - depends a little bit on what you expect. The avocado toast with poached egg is very tasty.

I like the place for the atmosphere and they are comfortable with people staying for a while. It’s my office when I’m in Colorado. 😁

The food was delicious and staff nice but when you walk in, displayed before you are some ancient masks from 1918 but the staff don’t wear any of these devices or any masks for that matter. No glove use was seen in food preparation but it tasted amazing. Here’s to your health.

Will definitely come back!! Good coffee, Loved the staff; the manager was super nice and his recommendations were delicious. The kitchen manager, Samuel, was also super nice and warming. Such a welcoming place!

Good food but the guy behind the counter was overly impatient. Rushed us through our order, messed up our order, seemed put out when I ask him to heat up our pastries, and then forgot to bring them out. I went up to give him an opportunity to rectify the situation but he seemed more interested in making excuses and putting the blame elsewhere. Prices are on the high side and there are plenty of good coffee shops in Glenwood Springs. We tend to pick our favorite coffee shops in the towns we visit and return to them as often as we are there. I think we will take our business elsewhere next time we’re in town.

The atmosphere looked nice but the music was anything but relaxing and way too loud for a Sunday afternoon. The food was not as advertised. No mustard on my sandwich, only mayo (which had I known I would have asked for none), lettuce had bad pieces throughout. We will not be returning.

I am happy we chose Bluebird for breakfast while we passed through. They cooked an omelette right in front of me and I had an enjoyable chat with the cook, Sam, while he worked. Our food was perfect and the place was cozy. I will remember the experience!

I can only rate on the coffee as ordered our usual: once iced vanilla latte and one hot vanilla latte. We are not from here but absolutely love supporting local coffee shops. Sometimes it doesn't always work out in our favor but it did here! The lattes were both great, not too sweet or strong. We enjoyed it!

Sausages were small hard little pucks and overcooked cold eggs. Cute place though. I’d go for the coffee only

Sunday morning, it was a little busy, and instructions for how to wait for our food and coffee were scant. We selected to sit at a table that subsequently was occupied by people awaiting carry out. I returned to the cashier to ask where to wait but he was too busy to acknowledge. When we apparently chose to sit in the wrong place (3 of us crammed around a table for 2) because our table was taken, the young male barista loudly castigated us for sitting in the wrong place.

I also ordered from the omelette bar. After ordering the omelette I waited at the bar for several minutes. After no one presented I returned to my table to chat with family. When I subsequently picked up my coffee drink, the barista again castigated me loudly for not standing at the omelette bar. I could later hear him muttering to the cashier about patrons not following orders.

Decent breakfast. My coffee drink was bad. Wouldn’t return at a peak hour.

Severely under staffed. We waited 8 minutes with nobody in front of us for someone to come take our order. The person kept leaving and coming back while we were ordering and ended up not getting the full order.

We waited 20 minutes for an iced latte and a scone, the french press we ordered never came. We finally just.got fed up and left.

The two workers in the cafe were flat rude to us and to other patrons.
