My brothers and I spent a week in the area, we enjoyed a delicious meal every day at MJ's. Good food, worth a wait!

Small town
If you're from a small remote mountain town of 400 people, or can appreciate having any kind of a restaurant available for eating out, then go to MJ's. The food is homemade to order and fresh...always good ...no matter what. I love the breakfasts, the pork tenderloin sandwich, BLT, macaroni salad, home made chicken tenders, and more. Service is typically limited to one cook and one waitress. You deal with it.
If you're entitled and expect quick and available service at all costs, then why are you in Creede?

Waitress was way short handed for a busy weekend. Everything else was great.

This was hands down the the most hideous excuse for food I have ever experienced. My breakfast burrito was a hollow cold shell of a tortilla with maybe a handful of scraps like dried meat confetti thrown inside. The cheese on top wasn't even melted. To add to this injustice was the bill. For 4 breakfasts our cost was 53$. Im outraged at best. Travelers be warned. You would be better off heating up a hungry man on the engine of your car.

We checked in inside, then sat outside on a Sunday morning. They were busy but not slammed. No one ever brought us menus - we had to go get them. We waited half an hour and didn't even get coffee, but saw other tables being served. Once a table freed up inside we moved, saying the kids were cold, but it was more so we wouldn't be overlooked. After being there 55 minutes I asked how much longer it would be. The waitress said she would check and immediately returned with our food, which could be described as warm at best, which makes me think it has been sitting there for some time under a heat lamp. There was never any apology or acknowledgement of our ridiculously long wait, not did she check on us after delivering the food (and forgetting one party of my order) . Unimpressed. As a former wait person myself, things happen, but we were essentially ignored and forgotten. The food was decent or I'd give it one star.

Decent breakfast food. Serving was a bit on the small side. Friendly service, but a VERY long wait.

Enjoyed a delicious Saturday morning breakfast with our pup on the patio. The waitress was friendly and attentive, bringing us coffees, offering water for our dog, and helping us move to a table once one became available. Loved the french toast!

Friendly local place with good food and good service.

Worst place I have eaten in Creede. Service was horrible, so was the food. We waited over an hour for a pathetic breakfast burrito, the best part was the two pieces of lettuce as a side. Anywhere else has to be better. One waitress was very nice, but she was not ours. She ended up bringing our food and helping us out, but our waitress only took our order, never to be seen again. Go somewhere else, anywhere else has to be better.
