Rico's Cafe & Wine Bar

I want to like this place, it's unique, the food is reasonable, being able to hop over to the bookstore is nice, but on more than one occasion I've been in and there have been obnoxiously loud patrons, talking well above the level of noise in the restaurant and the staff have never done anything about it, even when I've mentioned it.

Disappointing, really

This is a great, locally owned shop with a wide variety of foods, events, and shopping. The prices are ok, but still a bit over priced. The staff is always friendly and very accommodating. My only dislike are the people. Some are friendly, but mostly just rude and entitled. I guess you have to take the bad with the good.

The food is decent and the drinks are fun. You pay for the ambiance and it's a place to relax. People complaining about prices should know what they were walking into to begin with. Very competitively priced and an overall good experience. Great small talk first date spot.

Rico's is the perfect, comfy shop to sit and reflect on life, meet up with friends for a great glass of wine and some delicious chocolate, or listen to a great local group preform live. The turkey and avocado sandwich is scrumptious and pairs well with their fresh brewed teas for any afternoon. Summer nights can find groups spilled out on the back patio with great pizza and late winter nights warm up well with a bowl of handmade soup. Rico's is a home away from home for me and a gem to Colorado springs.

Love the atmosphere. Staff was great. The food is overpriced and the unwrapped treats were hard and unappealing. However, I enjoyed my pot of tea and my friend enjoyed his hot chocolate.

Best coffee and wine bar in the Springs connected to the best book store and toy store in the Springs. Can't beat that. I come here to work outside of work or just read a book and listen to music. Perfect first date spot.

After checking out wine bars in downtown COS on Yelp, we specifically drove (quite a distance) to try Rico's. Sat down at the bar and waited to be helped. someone who walked in at the same time was at the counter ordering coffee so we weren't greeted or helped right away-which was ok. Until a pregnant girl with an ID lanyard around her neck came out from a room behind the bar and looked right through us. Ok...I still have hope that the guy who just made the other customer a coffee will help us. No. He delivers the coffee. Looks right through us multiple times and proceeds to clean the coffee area. No greeting. No offer to help us or find someone who will. After over 10 minutes of being completely ignored we got up and left. Looking back I wish I had brought more attention to the rude sh!tty service (or lack thereof) we received. Funny because there were less than 5 people in there on a Saturday afternoon at 3pm. I will never give this place another shot. Odyssey gastropub across street gave us immediate greeting/service. And there was upwards of 30 customers with 2 employee here too! Horrible customer service!

A very relaxing environment. There was plenty to snack on and drink.The "vegan patty" is just that. It comes with mayo and butter on the buns. Make sure to ask specifics. Also, the Manitou duet was playing, very entertaining. I reccomend.

Great local Colorado Springs spot. Menu has GF and vegan options and the soup bar is really good. Great place to eat alone or meet up with a friend.

I love coming here to mainly relax and do art. However you can easily come with a group or study. There's also lots of eclectic things to look at. Overall a very peaceful place.
