Was in town for the Royal Gorge train and Mugs had good reviews and for good reason! Loved it so much we went 3 times during our mini stay in town for breakfast twice and lunch. Great small town diner feel, staff was great ( I wish I got names but the girl with long black wavy hair was awesome!), and food was amazing. Cinnamon roll pankakes…. Need I say more! I still think about those, so good. And the tiger stripe coffee and double mocha frappe, no need for Starbucks! Will come back when we visit again ;)

Bartender hustled and was friendly, but somehow ended up being our server. Maybe they were short staffed?? The rest of the serice was terrible, took 10 minutes to get menus and by far, the worst meal I’ve had in a very long time. Extremely long wait time making us late for our next engagement. Dry burgers and cold fries. Do not recommend this restaurant!

Came in shortly after 6pm for a post hike meal, our order was taken quickly, but it took over 45 mins (maybe closer to an hour) to get our food. The veggie burger was kinda crunchy and bland and the side of fruit that costs $1.50 extra consisted of 5 grapes and unripe melon. My husband's ciabatta burger was extremely greasy and the onion rings (also $1.50 extra) were very meh. The drinks we ordered were pretty good. However, considering how long it took to get our food, we could've gone home to Colorado Springs and had dinner at home. Never again, even if our usual spot is closed. It's cheaper and less annoying to just go home.

I am incredibly upset and frustrated with how terrible customer service is at Mugs. Every time I've gone they have been incredibly understaffed and too busy to handle the business they have, giving poor service to everyone who is there. Even though Mugs has one of my favorite sandwiches in town, I have refused to go there because of the continual bad service, made even more obvious by my 15+ years in restaurant management.
I recently bought some gift certificates to benefit the Canon City GATE Program and thought I would just order food To Go food so I would not have to deal with the poor service. I called over and over and over for 30 minutes, both the 5348 number and the 3303 number, and neither phone number was ever answered!! The 5348 number stated they were on the other line with another customer but I would literally hang up and instantly call back and get the same message for the entire 30 minutes. According to my call log, I called 26 times from 10:45-11:15, not even lunch rush yet, and received the same message every time about being on the other line with another customer. I am incredibly disappointed and while I would like to help the GATE program in the future, I will never buy gift certificates for this poorly run restaurant again.

Our first night in town and we were beat from the drive in from Salina, KS, The server was great in suggesting places to see during our visit to Colorado. The cheese burgers were right on the money as well! Thanks for the friendly "Welcome to CO"!

I just went for a few drinks and appetizers. I got the chips and guacamole and expected to have the kind of guac you get from the store. I was super surprised when it tasted fresh and tasty. The drinks were moderately priced and had some mixed drinks that were very tasty. I will definitely be back.

Starting with the Tea Au Lait, then the REAL Cajun-style BBQ shrimp, Then the Burger, THEN the Ahi Poke Bowl, and finally finishing with the chocolate chip cake with cheesecake frosting/ Macchiato…I thought I was dreaming.
Staff went above and beyond at every turn.
This place is a MUST STOP on your way through Cañon City.

The food was good. Just the customer services. How can u forget a forks or spoon to give to ur customers. And have to get up to ask for it or grab it yourself

The pancakes were moist and crunchy on the outside, the biscuits and gravy were the best I've had in Colorado in the last 5 yrs. The potatoes are pan fried and the coffee was good.
