Dozens Restaurant

They have gone way downhill. The polenta was mushy, the mushrooms had gone bad, they don’t have any normal egg combinations, we waited forever and had to ask 4 times for condiments. They wouldn’t bring us enough creamer, we had to ask over and over. They got our order wrong. They wouldn’t even do a basic substitution of toast instead of a pancake. The cottage cheese wasn’t fresh. The prices were so high… I paid over 100$ before tip for 4 orders of breakfast.

Nice and quiet little place on Havana. The house made muffins are fantastic. A lot of the lighter fair is really good but the menu is huge so there’s definitely something on there for everyone. Some of the food is cleverly reimagined from traditional staples, like one of the Benedict’s using puff pastry. While some of it is fun and delicious sometimes not so much. Overall though the food is pretty good, the atmosphere is really nice and the menu is funny to read. Only gave it 4 stars because the service isn’t anything out of this world, it’s good just not great.

Popular local breakfast place. Expect a wait during the busy brunch hours but service is great and the kitchen is FAST. Once I was seated and ordered, I got my food within 15 minutes.

Had their "Imagine a Great Omlette", aka a Denver Omelette plus a cinnamon roll. Omelette tasted great, though the fillings were not well mixed so I got sections of mushroom and sections of onions. Cinnamon roll was definitely the star here though: soft, not too sweet, and they served it with what seems to be a cinnamon whipped butter so it was a refreshing mix of sweet and savory. After eating the cinnamon roll I didn't feel terribly guilty like I normally am, it felt more like I ate a kouign-amann.

Overall, portions are great and ingredients are fresh, and I definitely recommend trying the cinnamon roll.

Great menu selection, food was tasty, the four stars are due to price, it's a bit higher then one would expect. Service is great, lots of parking and no wait, food was brought quickly and piping hot! Would recommend on a Saturday for a quick breakfast. Menu includes tons of non breakfast items as well as healthy offerings.

Food was great, service was quick until I wanted to pay. Waited 10 mins for someone to bring me the check a d I needed to go, otherwise it would have been five stars

We had an awesome breakfast here! Service wasn't excellent, but acceptable. The food, on the other hand, was so much better than we expected from seeing the outside of the place and reading some of the negative reviews on Google and Yelp.
I had the South Platte Platter which is an omelette with real crab and shrimp and a fantastic hollandaise sauce over it. I can eat seafood 24x7x365, so I was very pleased there was this menu item. And it was outstandingly good! The hollandaise was perfect, the crab and shrimp delicious, and overall the omelette was cooked to the exact right temperature and softness. Not overdone at all!
I also asked for a side of corned beef hash. I was super hungry! The hash was so good that.my wife and I could not stop eating it, even though we both had huge breakfast plates of our own! It was like the best beef brisket with caramelized onions ever... And no potato filler like most corned beef hash. Meat and onions and spices... So GOOD!
My wife had the biscuits with sausage and gravy (forget what it's called on the menu). She said it beat several other places we've tried in Colorado (including Denver Biscuit Company!)
I tried a bite of it, and had to agree... Unlike the sometimes semi-hard biscuits you get at DBC, these were fluffy, soft, and delicious! And the sausage patty and gravy were just so much better than we've eaten in many other places around Colorado...
We have kids coming from Kansas to visit over the holidays, and Dozens is now on the "must go to" list for their visit!
We will certainly be back as often as possible when we drive into Denver!

I went thinking they had pancakes but they do not deserve pancakes. They do serve waffles however.
I ordered the Platte River Omelette. It is supposed to have real crab meat in it but she informed me that today they were making them with shrimp.
It is smothered in Hollandaise sauce. I was hoping the sauce was a bit more lemony. Other than there being a bit more cheese than I was expecting it is a solid dish.
Will go to try something else.

Just had an amazing breakfast! We loved everything we ordered and the juice was freezing cold and the coffee was strong and hot. You could tell everything was prepared with consideration. The hollandaise sauce was perfect temp and consistency and that is no easy task. The cinnamon roll which was and after thought after reading the sign really was sign worthy. The plants were beautiful and VERY well maintained. Someone has a green thumb! Over all great all the way around glad we stumbled into this place.

💔I noticed it may be hard to eat here if you’re gluten free or vegan. Not impossible but you’d definitely need to think creatively.

This was a cute little diner and the staff is super friendly!!
I got the Bloody Mary and was a bit disappointed in it because it wasn't very tomato-y, but it definitely had plenty of vodka in it. I got the 6th ave omelet and my boyfriend got the Loveland scramble. Both were very fresh and yummy, but a little bland (which I'm happy it wasn't over-seasoned). Cholula sauce made it better though! I was pleased with how fresh everything was and the service was fast too.
Overall a good experience and next time we go I would rather eat on the patio!
