First time here. The breakfast Sammy was great! I can’t believe it is all plant based. I enjoyed the coffee as well.

Coffee here is great. Had a black tea and things were lost in translation possibly. We were too jet lagged to ask for a new tea so had a new experience drinking an English breakfast tea latte.

The BEST CAFE. I LOVE THEIR AVOCADO TOASTS and COFFEE. I’m sure everything else is amazing as well on their menu.

Good and inside are great for relaxing and having a bite to eat. Yummy donuts. But the coffee is flavored water and not great. Had to go to Starbucks lol

The signature avocado toast is a blast. It is skillfully created to perfection in terms of flavor, texture, spiciness, and warmth.

Outstanding vibe to this Walnut Creek watering hole. (also in Pleasant Hill) Coffee, beer, cocktails and limited food menu are all served in this simple-modern not-just-coffee shop. Rooted team was very upbeat, knowledgeable and energetic working as a team. Seating was nicely organized into bar seating, tables and outdoor - many politely marked with "no laptop" areas to prevent camping, allow sippers to perch and encourage chatting. We enjoyed a live DJ on our Sunday afternoon visit, which was excellent, but I understood from a regular the staff moves about similarly to recorded music in lieu. I learned Rooted Coffee is roasted locally in Vallejo and all milk offered is plant milk. Coffee flavors are sufficient to warrant a drive-by pick up without sit down (witnessed several). Beer selection, though limited, is also sufficient for getting together with friends. Did not learn enough to share about cocktails at 11:45a. Avocado toast looked very popular... Mostly, I imagine the motivation to visit should be a good cup of anything with great folks. Bring them, or meet them here!

No milk, no cream for your coffee. Other than that nonsense, the location is nice. Staff is very friendly. 3 stars because of the lack of offerings for all dietary lifestyles and seeming disregard for omnivors.

VINIT AGRAWAL

The staff was polite enough to come out and pet the customers dog but then just went to kitchen area and started touching all the food counter and appliances without washing her hands. Clearly a health code violation at least.

3 words - Oh Mega Donuts! Every store I've gone too, the employees have been lovely and have delivered excellent service (looking at you locust st and poets corner)!
