This area of California is known more for its wild and rugged scenery. The small town of Walker was recently hit with the Mountain View wildfire. There are several locally owned businesses there and all with super nice people. One of my favorite is Walker Coffee Company. Their coffees, lattes and cappuccinos are outstanding and rival the best coffeehouses. If you are traveling on Hwy 395 through Walker, it is worth the stop.

A mix of big city coffee shop and eastern Sierra tackle shack. We stop here every time we see neon open sign lit. Great coffee, and perfect place to stretch the legs and give the dog a bathroom break.

Friendly staff. Clean restroom. I ordered a cold tea... not quite seeped enough but the other employee realized that and made me another!

These were the rudest people that I have ever encountered! They acted like me and my husband were invisible. There were two younger ladies working yesterday morning and they need to learn some manners and customer service skills!! We left without either of these employees acknowledging our presence. They lost sales and our future business. Learn to be kind!
