Schat's Bakery & Cafe

Poor experience. We went in keeping in mind the experience at their location in Bishop, CA. But no where close. It could be timing, but when we went in-anything we asked from the menu was gone, except for one item. Anyway, may try again at different day and time.

For the amount of people working in this establishment you’d think a bagel could be toasted and smeared with cream cheese In less than 20 minutes. Unbelievably unprofessional employees, complimenting each other’s outfits while my bagel gets cold in the toaster rack. To top it all off the bagel had about 2 tablespoons of cream cheese on it and it was cold after the wait. Really let down by what is suppose to be the best bakery in town..

The sandwiches are ginormous. Family owned, hometown feel. The food is great quality, good prices. It's always busy but that's okay. Worth the wait. Love it.

Had a great Reubens sandwich. Last time, I had a grilled veggies sandwich which wasn't great- little eggplant, marinated peppers not so great. It just seemed like a tomato sandwich. But this one was great!

Was fantastic place to eat, everything was super fresh for lunch!! Came back for breakfast next day and got a delicious pecan pinwheel and a bluberry tart, the tart was dry but its probably because it was tuesday and they bake on wednesdays .

Tasty food, coffee, and bakery items. Good for kids. Indoor table was very well cleaned and marked as sanitized which was a nice touch. Friendly staff and good service.

Very nice little place to stop. The Greek omelet was great, and the house brewed coffee was at least decent. The bread and pastries looked amazing, but we didn't indulge. Regrets.

From the moment Schat's opened decades ago, they have been known for excellent baked goods, pastries, cookies, and cakes. The staff is friendly, the recipes are old-school, passed down through the generations. If you are visiting U-town, or live there, this is the spot to grab breakfast or lunch.

My husband said it was possibly the best sandwich of his life! Good service too

I order Schat's for work and also for person so I've gone to all 3 Schat's locations in Ukiah. They each are amazing.Schat's at the Courthouse is always fantastic! Staff is friendly, the place is clean and the food is great. Their flourless cake is amazing and so rich. Can't complain about their pastries, they are always light and fluffy and FRESH! Schat's at Friendman's is my to go to place at lunch time. Always fast and friendly.Schat's at Mendocino College, is super busy wish they would expand their staff there. But still great food.
