Higher Ground Coffee

I was excited to go try this place today but when I went to walk in the person serving coffee was not wearing a mask(not even one down around her neck she could put on when talking to people) even after 4'000 Americans died of Covid yesterday. I refuse to go anywhere that someone would be that selfish not only towards public safety but if businesses can't follow protocols it's going to lead to more small businesses getting shut down!

Great stopping place! The coffee is yummy and will keep you going and the sandwiches and soup are amazing! Angie really takes pride in her shop! I know it's my go to place when I'm going up or coming back over the mountain! Don't let this friendly and charming place pass by without enjoying this treat!

Awesome service. The one drink that I love is the Mexican Mocha it's the BOMB, get the large size you will love it a lot and want more.

Stopped here on our way back to Reno. Will definitely go back 😊.

Higher Grounds is a great place to eat and get your favorite coffee. It is clean and the ladies are all very friendly.

I’m a Starbucks barista and came up to visit my Dad since he moved into Shingletown. He told me about this place and I love coffee houses so we decided to visit. Angie (the owner) and Mariah were super polite and helpful! Had a Chai Latte which was excellent and had great traces of chai spice and cinnamon. Also tried out a chicken salad sandwich on a croissant, holy cow! It was awesome! What a great little coffee spot, definitely check them out, I’ll be back for sure!

The best (and only) place to get coffee in shingletown and they are good at making coffee

Great service, amazing coffee and delicious food! Best place to stop on the way to Lassen National Park.
