Big Mug Coffee Roaster

I have been a fan of Big Mug caramel macchiato for many months, every weekend I have to get coffee only from here. The drink has been very consistent in flavor. I told everyone around me that coffee from here is very good.

But in the last 3 times, the flavor was not right. Now plus the service is very very slow despite 4 people behind the counter. Even if you order online, you have to stand in line for payment anyway and just look at your drink melting out.

Also, don’t even think of asking them to heat up pastries. It takes forever.

Now I’m going to ditch to other coffee shops.

This coffee shop is a Santa Clara gem. The bookshelves, long wooden tables, and coffee-themed decor lend to its studious atmosphere. The coffee is delicious. The matcha green tea latte and the hot honey lemon tea are also standouts. There is a tent out front with some tables that sprung up during Covid—it is very simple, but nice to have the option to sit outside on a warm day. This is a great place to work or study.

Coffee was pretty mediocre. Croissant and tres leches cake were good. Place was kind of messy with construction and boxes everywhere. Very busy, not a lot of places to sit when it was busy.

Did they change their pastry vendor? I used to come here for their matcha cream, banana cream-filled croissants. I got a matcha croissant today but it was soggy and hard, with matcha icing on top instead. No flaking, no crumbs!

Great coffee and matcha. The breakfast sandwiches are probably a 2/5 star, something is off, I think they should use better cheese. The service is extremely slow. They seem to be severely understaffed. The older lady working there is rude. Overall 2/5.

I am glad to live close to this cafe. It's always packed when I stop by with folks chatting or tapping away on their keyboards. I usually get the almond milk latte but all their coffee drinks are good.

A great local place for coffee drinks. The toast-based sandwiches are ok; I'd recommend other treats instead. Friendly staff and an enjoyable atmosphere keep me coming back.

Decent coffee shop in Korea Town. Aside from the standard coffee brews, they make excellent green tea lattes. It's become increasingly busy over the years. The outside patio is simple, yet quiet. Ask for the Ethiopian roast, but they tend to run out of it.

Always a lively and festive atmosphere. If you like the type of crowded coffee shop where it’s not taboo to talk to your neighbor, this is a great place.

The drinks are pretty meh tho.
