If you're in SLO and looking for amazing coffee or espresso drinks, and treats that will blow your mind, then be sure to visit Coastal Peaks Roasters. My drink of choice is a breve cappuccino, but the other morning they happened to have bacon and date scones, and holy cow... what a combination!
We also love to pick up a pound of beans for domestic duty when we're there, and these will also delight your senses. Even their decaf beans are fantastic, with none of that tinny aftertaste you'll get from other brands.
The newly redesigned interior makes you want to settle in for the day with a good book or a friend for some good conversation.

I've been visiting here from the UK for over a year now. Everytime i go in the staff are always there with a smile to greet me. The coffee they serve is fresh and of good value for money. I can spend hours in here sat in a comfortable chair watching the world go by. As I'm writing this review im currently sipping on a sample given to me my Master roaster Phil here in the UK. Thanks to all the staff for makingbus welcome the last couple of weeks. See you all soon.

One of the best chai lattes I've had! Just the right amount of espresso & spice! Also, the maple scone was delicious. I am not from around here & needed something great after a bad night, definitely glad I found you guys!

I've held off writing a review to make sure I didn't write a review off of a single experience. The staff is always friendly and the coffee is is the best in town, but the wait times leave something to be desired. About 50% of the time I go in there are less than 3 people that have orders in or waiting to place an order, yet it takes 15+ minutes to get a bagel with cream cheese. As with today, no one bothers to look at their white board to start it until after 10 minutes. And not that I'm that worried about germs, but the last 3 times I've been in there I've watched the same person take money from several customers before heading over to cut and spread cream cheese on my bagel without washing his hands or using gloves. Today I received a bagel that he only toasted for a few seconds and I had a hair mixed in with my cream cheese.
I really hate to write a negative review, and I'll almost always give a place another chance, but this is the 3rd time in a row this has happened and my complaint applies to no less than 50% of my visits. As I work right next to this shop it was a regular stop for me a couple of times a week, but this time will be my last.

coffee is of good quality but i can’t support any business charging $3.77 for 2 shots. the counter person was originally going to charge me $5.?? and something cents until i inquired. she said she could type it in different which brought it down to $3.77
crazy. i’ll keep going to places that are still at $2.50 for 2 shots-then i can tip as well. the friend i met was also frustrated and felt cheated for a $4.?? americano with modest tip.

Good coffee, good service, seating outdoors and sell bags of beans. Thier food is ok but nothing to rave about. Parking can be a little tight, so don't bring your motor home.

Though kind of hidden in the strip mall it is located in as it is kind of an industrial park area, this place is a hidden gem!
Loved everything about my experience here! It is a functioning coffee roaster as well as a lil cafe, so you can smell the awesome coffee from the street!
I had the thai chicken wrap w/the pasta salad and cookie meal and the Matcha latte and for $11.63 w/tax and tip, it was worth every penny! The thai vinaigrette that comes on the wrap is Nom-some! And the Matcha Latte was perfection! The pasta salad (and they give you a healthy portion, so I took half of mine on the road w/me for a snack later) was very tasty and the cranberry oatmeal cookie I had, though small, was also delish!
The indoor decor is cute and captures their coffee expertise with ample seating. The staff was nice and my order came out fairly fast.
They have a great selection of loose leaf teas as well.
I would definitely go out of my way to make a return visit the next time I am in SLO.

Great place with lots of seating options to fit your mood. WiFi of course is available. Good coffee and a nice small selection of food and baked goods. Staff is always friendly. Some outdoor seating, too.

First impression is that they look the same as your high end coffee bar. But, do not be fooled by its' cover. They have extremely high standards. Their coffee making is an art form! Warning, if you visit this place no other place ever will do!

Coastal Peaks is my newest favorite coffee place in San Luis Obispo. It has really good quality coffee, a wonderful atmosphere, fast internet, free parking, and a really comfortable environment. There is space to lounge and talk, study or work, or meet with friends.
