Coastal Peaks Coffee

This is a great secret place! You would never know it's here but it's wonderful. Great coffee, great friendly service, great pastries.

I was so impressed with Mike and his staff today. Mike clearly takes pride in his work, is so happy with his staff, and is a very positive person. I love supporting local businesses with that kind of energy! The cafe is clean, comfortable, and warm. But beyond that, the customer service is second-to-none. Thank you, Mike! I look forward to visiting again!

Wow. This place is awesome. Their pour over was legit. Their pastries off da chain. Location looks really cool and the service was top notch. Just great coffee shop. So happy we found this during our road trip to start our morning.

This is my back up place, on my way to work, when I can't run into Cayucos first. The coffee is GREAT. The customer service is superb. And their food selections are wonderful. Most of all - THE COFFEE IS GREAT.

With good coffee being commonplace now, does it really matter which one I stop at? YES! This place was a coffee roaster first, selling specially blended coffee to restaurants, and their coffee is great! They then opened the cafe and made it a super casual, comfortable place. Don't let that fool you, though, the staff are relaxed but they are really working for you, just making it look easy. It must be a good place to work! And the roaster now gets to do single origins and new blends, whatever the beans seem to want, this has got to be more fun than blending for the same restaurants every week.

If there's a coffee shop in heaven, it's probably just like Coastal Peaks.

The staff is incredibly knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. No matter what you're in the mood for, any drink you order will be your favorite (from the humble drip coffee to the elaborate siphon or Trifecta).

Update : nice to be treated like family after being gone for three years. Great vibe. Old review. 2016:To say this place is a coffee institution in SLO is a misnomer. Few places you go in this town have staff that have been there 4,5...6 years. Separate rooms for the wifi crowd, leather armchairs for casual meetings... Great coffee and the best baked goods around. Easy on/off from the 101 with plenty of parking. Come to a place where they learn your name and the coffee the way you like it!

Coastal Peaks is your classic Coffee Shop. They are constant and never changing. We love Coastal peaks but it’s never updated menu which is one of its perks for regular customers, makes me urge for more change from time time. I hope for more experimentation with its best in the county coffee machines.
