Stumbled upon this place when I was searching for beautiful cafe near me so we stopped to check this cafe out. It always been sucks looking for a parking spot in downtown but I’m absolutely glad we came here on a Tuesday😍
I was super lucky when I spotted a costumer parked right in the front leaving the cafe. Super Sweet! Best parking spot🙃🤣. I recommend coming here on the weekdays. Weekends definitely too packed!!!! They offers simple menu mainly Mexican Drinks Coffee, bake goods, Desserts and Sandwiches. Definitely love the romantic, relaxing, and welcoming vibes! Also love that it a very pleasant environment for groups and family Gathering. Definitely recommend this Cafe it was an absolutely pretty experience!!!😍

This coffee shop is super unique, and I’d say it’s just as much about the experience / fun as it is about the coffee / food. They play awesome music, have some cool drink options and baked goods. It definitely is a fun stop to sit and take in the vibe in downtown San Jose. The drinks are a bit on the sweeter side which is a given, especially when you consider the name of the shop. I think overall it is worth a stop if you’re in San Jose, especially if there’s space to sit inside!

They did a picture of my dog for latte art! I have had a lot of coffees with handcrafted latte art, but this was my first experience with a digital one that allows you to get whatever image you like on your coffee, which is very cool. My choice of drink was cappuccino in oat milk, and I had it with avocado toast. The baristas are very friendly and the cafe is very artsy and cute. Would be nice to have more vegan options for food.

A Mexican coffee shop in the downtown of San Jose. It’s usually pretty busy so no surprise it is one of the best coffee spot in town. I tried Duvalin one of their signature coffee and it tasted pretty good. Little pricier than Starbucks but this one is a must try for it’s taste and ambience. They also have couple of sandwiches and quick bites to have which I did not try yet. I would definitely comeback to try more of their coffees and quick bites.Highly recommend!

This is a cute little coffee shop. Plenty of options for everyone. I'm not big on Mexican sweet bread but my dad and sister really enjoyed them. Looking forward to going back and trying more items.

Wow - very impressed with the opening of this coffee house. Warm ambience, clean, very colorful with prominent displays of Latino roots. Very affordable coffee relative to other places. Staff very amicable and keen to helping customers. An array of coffee and treats to delight many. Fan favorite for me is the dirty chai and abuelito latte.

This is a great addition to the coffee scene in San Jose and the Bay Area in general. Definitely the most fun I’ve been to. If you’d ever wonder what a Hispanic breakfast looks like…Wonder no more, I would assimilate the experience at “Con Azúcar” as if you’d have breakfast at your- very hip Hispanic- best friends house but somehow they managed to mastered their grandmas recipes for coffee and hot cocoa. Obviously a very tough thing to do. That was my experience at this location. Super friendly and chill service. Very fair prices and most importantly the product is what it should be, delicious.

FAVORITES, by far café de olla, chocolate abuelita with an expresso shot, and if you like coffee with your sugar and milk their lattes are great.Something unique to them is their syrups. But the revolutionary idea- locally-, at least to my knowledge, is the ability to be able to add any image to your hot creamy drink. Even a selfie of you and the wife, come on where else?!
Been frequenting this place the past week and service or quality never fluctuated, I think is safe to say they get five stars and I’m looking forward to many more visits.

Amazing service & phenomenal coffee! The line is a little bit long during the day since they just opened. I recommend coming in the morning. Latte art is also very unique. You can print whatever picture you want on your coffee. Overall 10/10! Highly recommend !!

I tend to try most new downtown San Jose food businesses and found Con Azucar while I was walking past it on Santa Clara Street. Being a coffee lover I had to try the place when it opened.

Over two visits here I have tried the Cappuccino, latte and Caprese toast. Liked all three. Their coffee is one of the better ones in the area with a surprising added touch of machine created foam art (examples attached). The Caprese toast with avocado spread was very good.

The staff is very friendly and the place is nicely designed. Try it out.

It’s a cool and popular Latino cafe. Price was good. But line was long on a Friday afternoon. After 30min in line + 15min wait on my drink, the hot Chai tea I ordered was barely warm, not even hot. Frankly the flavour was good, but nothing more disappointing than a lukewarm drink after such a long wait :(
