Chromatic coffee roasters takes roasting to the highest level of excellence. Coffee drinkers in San Jose are lucky to have Chromatic in town.

You need to get through what feels like a maze in order to order your coffee, then you need to go back outside to wait in the sun for your coffee to be put on a table standing in a doorframe. There was no sugar on the table and I had to yell to get someone's attention. On top of that it was maybe a little better than Pete's. It seems like most of the hype is about the esthetics and not the coffee

Chromatic coffee is pretty good—they have a wide selection and their aesthetic is fun.

There is wifi, which is a dealbreaker for me as far as what I need from a coffee shop, and it worked well. There is no indoor seating, which is a significant bummer. There is outdoor seating, and that was pretty good

When you go to Chromatic, it's for high quality coffee. They are the specialty roaster that other, newer roasters look up to. Their roasts are to perfection. Definitely give them a try if you're in the area.

Cool place for good coffee. Kind of pricy tho. They closed at 3pm everyday.

The Gamut Espresso beans are great for latte. Strong taste, creamy, smooth but not bitter.

Staff was nice. Coffee was better than average, but not great in my opinion. I thought the prices were out of whack compared with the quality and quantity I received. It was fine, but I wouldn't go out of my way to go there. I also got a chocolate chip cookie. Its texture was great, but it tasted like I was eating a fried egg. The egg taste overpowered any other flavors. Ugh.
