Dropped by for the grand opening and all I can say is WOW! This place has all the makings for an SF hit. Understandably there was a 30 minute line but the owners were so friendly and appreciative by handing out free samples. Once inside I was blown away by the amazing space. There were large ovens and a massive chute where freshly hot bagels were ready to sort and serve. I ordered an everything bagel with cream cheese. The bagel had a nice outer crunch still warm from the wood fire and the inside was so soft and delicious. Although other reviews seemed not to like the texture of the cream cheese, I really enjoyed it and felt that there was a very grassy, fresh from the farm taste to it that was unique. Philly cream cheese no more! I also loved the partnership with Red Bay Coffee in Oakland. There is a Probat roaster on-site and the mocha that I had was top notch. There is plenty of seating in the upstairs mezzanine. I will certainly be back for more!

Delicious bagels and cream cheese(s) including a goat one. Lovely ambience- so modern and airy. Very friendly staff. There’s a child play area, a second floor to work or people watch from above, and delicious coffee. What a great neighborhood find!!

Good bagels! (I tried the classic lox)

However the service is pretty slow, we were 4 (2 separate orders but all the same bagels) and we had to wait a while despite having 3 people behind the counter and no other customers.

I would go back without friends next time I guess 😄

My fav new place to be in the city! Let me count the reasons why...
1. The bagel sandwiches and bagel dogs are to die for. The Gravlax is a not-to-miss. My mouth is watering just thinking about it!
2. That cultured butter. Is it bad that I've bought 3 packages since the place opened?? I never knew butter could taste so rich with flavor and freshness!
3. The vibe is cool, hip, relaxing, and the decor calls out to my Instagram trigger finger. I love meeting friends there, and their game nights are SO FUN.
4. Talk about supporting local - it makes me feel good to spend money in here, where they get ingredients from their own (and other local) farms, culture their butter on site, bake their bagels in the wood fired oven as you watch, and hire local staff. Spending money in a place that lives my values. Check!

I love the vibe at this place. A mix of industrial and modern coffee shop. The balcony seating is relaxing, the tile lightens the place up. The wood fired bagels are awesome! With a nice crunchy exterior and dense interior it's everything you'd want from a great bagel! The everything's are my favorite but you should try them all! Love this new addition to SF.

Rating is based pretty much entirely on bagel quality, which I assume would’ve been better in the morning.

Got a gravlax sandwich on a garlic bagel. Great flavors, including the bagel, but the bagel was a little harder and drier than I like it. That might be because i went at 2:30 (they close at 3:00). I’ll try it again in the morning, but for the price, I expect a great bagel, morning or afternoon ($16 for gravlax sandwich, $4.50 for just a bagel w/ plain cream cheese).

Cool, big, open space with lots of seating & natural light. Haven’t tried the coffee, but they have very nice espresso grinders (peak).

Sodium sodium sodium. This place was disgusting. Flat out disgusting. There was so much sodium in the bagel and also in the sandwich. I need to go to a doctor now. It was the worst bagel I've ever had in my life.

The atmosphere is pretty laid back, good for large groups or just yourself with a book. So that's nice.
But their overall selection and quality is really poor. For a place that specializes in bagels, they don't have many unique or interesting options for them or spreads, 98% of which you can find a version of in any supermarket. I especially found their cinnamon raisin bagels incredibly bland. Their regular cream cheese tastes really sour, almost like it has gone bad.
They also tend to shut down the espresso machines 1-2 hours before close, if they're not outright broken on some weeks.
Their desserts are good if you get there early enough. Past noon and you're likely to get a crunchy, dry version.

Daily Driver was recommended to me by my friend that lives in San Francisco. We went in the morning and had no long lines to wait in. The atmosphere is energetic and colorful. Our order was taken promptly and while we waited we were asked by several other team members if we had been helped yet. Now for the food and drink: Got a salt bagel and nearly choked from the sheer amount of salt on the top. That’s probably my fault for ordering a salt bagel, but the other options were limited. I also ordered an iced chai and received a very watered down drink that only disappointed. Given that there is a bagel shop pretty much every square mile in the Bay Area, I’d be inclined to keep looking for somewhere that suits me a little better. That being said, my friend loves this place and visits frequently. Go yourself and decide how you feel.

They DON'T toast their bagels, even if you ask. Everything Bagel is good, kind of cakey, but would be better toasted. Cream Cheese has more of a sour taste to it. Kind of pricey for what you get. I might try one of their other options in the future
