After walking by many times, we went to Trust for brunch. The place was bright and airy. I had pork shoulder hash and loved it. The drink and sticky bun were really good too. The staff were nice and attentive.

We had heard good things about Trust... It did not disappoint! I have been to fort oak which is the same owner, and that place was great as well. The drinks were unique and the food was exceptional.
Hamachi was great, served similar to a ceviche with taro chips. The beet salad was so incredibly surprising I wanted there to be more of it! I've had a million beet salads and nice restaurants but this one was such a stellar combination of flavors! The oxtail ravioli was heaven in my mouth... The grilled octopus was very good and the house made pepperoni they dice up on the plate is spicy and a little overpowering at times but still good.
The lamb meatballs would have been better but the lemon was so overpowering I couldn't taste the meat. My friend liked them but I thought they were a little one-dimensional. I really wanted to order a dessert but they only had one option for gluten-free which was very disappointing. It was ice cream... So we decided to stop by fort oak and get the pineapple crumble afterward lol
Overall absolutely everything we ordered was extremely satisfying and creative!

Food and service is culinary excellence personified. I have never had a bad meal or experience here. The salad with beets was fantastic and the ribeye was delicious. One of my favorite restaurants in San Diego.

Little plates but food is delicious and packed with flavor. The wood grilled octopus was very good, particularly the green sauce that comes with it which was fantastic. The ox tail ravioli was delicious. And my favorite was the Ricotta Agnolotti, which had an incredible garlic cream basil sauce topped off with black truffle and sunchokes. Bravo!
Our server was great and very friendly and knowledgeable with what was on the menu and gave us very good recommendations.

Food and drinks here are always amazing. Coming here for years for weekend brunch or nice dinners. Really can't go wrong with this entire restaurant group (fort oak, rare society also great). Most of the dinner menu is smaller plates so each person can order 2-3 different dishes. Entrees at the bottom are much larger and can also be shared.

One of my favorite places for brunch in town. Cool vibe and great cocktails and excellent food. My go to is the fried rice but all their options are excellent. And the sticky roll with Oreo crumbles and ice cream - heaven on earth. Strongly recommended!

The food was amazing, fresh, and had such depth of flavor. Farm to table Just an amazing food experience. The staff were inviting, polite, knowledgeable, gave great descriptions of the dishes and even though we were way early before they opened, they provided us with waters as we sat outside. Fast service and the food came out in order of progression of the flavors of the food and how the chef intended the meal to go. I will be returning to Trust in the future. Try the Shrimp and Sausage dish....just wow❤️The scallops were perfectly cooked, the woodfired cauliflower was smokey and yet delicate, the pork belly was so tender and melted in our mouths...again the meal was incredible.

This place was great. All of the establishments in this group are. Some highlights we ordered;
Started with the fried rice, it was killer! Crack open the fresh fried egg on top and mix it up..
Wood grilled Octopus, it was killer!
Wood grilled Lamb meatballs, they were killer!
Wood grilled cauliflower, it was killer!
Sense a trend here? Everything has that smokey aroma and flavor and a little char on it. Really brings it all together. And really, it was all amazing! Order a mezcal cocktail if you really want to tie it all in.
Great service and recommendations too, to course out the dishes.
We finished off with with some desert with like a banana creme and vanilla ice cream topper, and a brownie cake with brown butter.
Stop reading and go get a table here, now!

First of all, this place serves small pricey tapas plates so you’ll need to order more than just the typical 1 plate appetizer and entree. We ordered 5 dishes to share between two, plus dessert.
Now that dine in is available, seating fills up quick. Recommend that you call for a reservation. They also don’t offer happy hour anymore.
Parking is very limited along Park Ave and surrounding streets.
Everything that we ordered that night was super salty. The Kimchi Fried Rice was unbelievably salty that we had them take it back. Our server said it wasn’t the first time she heard that and offered to redo the dish or remove it from the tab. We chose the latter.
We started with a cocktail and I prefer sweeter drinks. The Friendship Garden was on the stronger fruity end and had toasted sesame running down the side of the glass which was weird when you can’t taste it if it’s not on the rim and it gets your hand dirty. The Palm Grove was more like tropical summer Mai Tai.
Wood grilled octopus ($20) - The octopus was perfectly grilled and not overly chewy. Had a slight salty seasoning and became over powering when it was paired with the olives and pepperoni. The chilled legumes was a decent offset.
Steamed Clams ($17)- Salty but this house made sauce was amazing! Reminded me more of like a thick chunky tomato soup. Came with twice slices of grilled bread for dipping.
Beef tartare ($17) - Nothing special. Had better. Had a quail egg in the center to pop. Wished that it came with a side of bread/crackers but instead it came with these crispy crackling fried potato as toppings.
Braised oxtail ravioli ($24) - The most expensive dish that night and it wasn’t worth it. It’s not the traditional square ravioli but tiny round meat ball size filled with oxtail that I couldn’t tell. There’s about 7 of them.
Kimchi fried rice ($18) - Each dish got more saltier than the last. This was our last dish that came out and by now, I’m used to it. But my friend was the one that sent it back when, ironically she wasn’t the one complaining about the other dishes like me. Which means, it must be really salty that it’s unbearable to swallow. The fried rice was good, just too salty.
For dessert we got a Ding Dang which was described as a chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream and Oreo crust. To me, it tasted like an ice cream sandwich. The top was like a chocolate Ding Dong and the bottom was a crispy brownie with ice cream in the center. It was rich and creamy that I thought it was whipped cream!

Came for the fried chicken and pancakes but they were sadly out. Instead we got the chilaquiles, fried rice, and a slice of french toast. Chilaquiles were delicious, although drowning in a sea of chips and beans that were unnecessary. Fried rice was incredible! The flavors were spot on. That was also the best french toast either of us have ever had. The Bloody Maria was also excellent. Our server did a great job waiting on us and even replaced my boyfriend's beer when a fly decided to use it as a swimming pool. All in all w/ tip it was ~$75.
