Pancake and fried chicken is really good! the pancakes are fluffy and the fried chicken is more like smaller nuggets. They were juicy and flavorful tho
Excellent food....there was going to be a long wait - so of course we go to the bar by the time we ordered our drinks a table was available... Waitstaff are wonderful and knew the menu well...Defintely a must on your list to visit in San Diego
We enjoyed every dish we ordered. Service was attentive to our every need. The attention to detail in the way the sauces complement each and every flavor had us wanting to order more! The fresh sourdough bread was also delicious.
I wanted to like this place. I had some expectations for this place, but it is rather disappointing. The atmosphere is decent, not too loud and rowdy but also far from a morgue-like silence. The light is rather intimate. The food is meh... We had Winter Salad, grilled octopus, lobster risotto, and some very soft cheese dish that I don't even remember... Winter salad - not good. First of all, definitely not worth the money. It is silly how small it is and barely has anything in it. Greens are about 80% of the salad and they forgot to add the roaster squash. Too bad. Octopus - very bad. It is overly salty, overcooked, and paired with salty olives was truly inedible. I still don't understand while it was paired with olives. Soft cheese thingy - okay, pleasant but kind of useless. I don't have my opinion on it, but my girlfriend who tried that same cheese in Italy said that the pairing was way too busy. The cheese did not need fig jam and other toppings on it. Creative much? Risotto - pretty good. Mild flavor of lobster permeates the pasta. The flavor was very balanced and not over the top with creative stuff. The only thing I would recommend. I don't think we would be coming here again.
We made reservations for 12:45 on a Sunday. I think that we missed the brunch crowd. It was about loud inside so we ate outside. I ordered the hash but it was egg than hash. The roasted cauliflower with aoili sauce is AMAZING!
Always enjoy weekend Brunch at the bar. Bianca, the server, is the best - effortless good service from her specifically. Pork shoulder hash, Baked eggs, Corn beef Hash, Salmon toast all good - decent Bloody Mary.
The service was great! It may be that we were out of our element here. We are from Louisiana and use to more seasoning and larger portion sizes. Most people may need to order two dishes to make a meal. Be prepared for smaller portions.
One son got the hush puppies and he loved it. Another got the Zucchini and he didn't care for it. I got Pork Sausage which is in the picture. It was good just a little bland IMO.
Service is superb, and the food truly deserves to be one of the best restaurants in 2017. I would definitely get the chop salad, even if you think it's just a salad. Everything is a little pricy, but very good.
Came for a group dinner before a movie - everything was perfect but especially liked the ricotta pasta and raviolini. Scallops and shishito peppers were also good, everything we ordered was awesome.

One of the best New American restaurants in San Diego. Make sure to order dessert, it's the best course of the night!
