A new favorite coffee place in San Diego. The flavor, I would say, is even a little better than Cafe Moto. And they give you re-usable glass for container to protect the environment!

Decent second wave coffee. No great single origin or specialty options for espresso or pour over.

Expert java, pastries, and friendly staff. Inside the James Coffee Co. building (the one with the rusty owl above the entry). Also visit James At Home (coffee appliances), Often Wander (gifts), SPECS Optometry (ask for Michelle for eye appointments--the BEST!), The Urban Shave, III [3] theSalon, Art Of Play (a shop of *wonder*), Home Ec, and Card Shop SD. An eclectic grouping of synergistic shops that is sure to get you to hang out longer than you expected. A wonderful San Diego destination for tasty beverages, schnecks, beauty, browsing and shopping. Perfect for travelers looking to get a small taste of San Diego life.

100% recommend this coffee shop! The baristas were super nice and the cold brew was delicious.

Really nice location. It is full of people right there. They also got many other stores around. I think the staff might be a bit lacking of patience. That is the reason why I only give 3 stars.

Best coffee in San Diego even if it’s a bit overpriced I really don’t care. Good things aren’t everywhere.

Staff was really nice, to-go glass cups were cool, but the latte fell short. I mean really short. It honestly just tasted like milk and espresso. I didn't even slightly taste vanilla. My girlfriend took 1 sip and dumped the rest out. I tried to drink mine but could only take a few sips. Very disappointed on the quality for the price.

Excellent cold brew. Wasn't burnt like some other places. Great citrus flavors in mine. Very very pleased!

I was in town for only a day and a half but spent a significant amount of time looking for great coffee in San Diego. I'm glad I found James on my way out to the airport. Great coffee in an incredible space. They hookede up with single origin pourover from Brazil which I savored before hopping on my flight.

Good quality, delicious pastries made by the coffee shop. Located in what appears to be a gentrified Holocaust museum. Adjacent shops where you can browse cute gifts as you wonder when the economy will collapse, ignore rising inflation and the never ending tragedy that is the Democratic Party. No homeless vagrants nearby which is a huge plus.
