The best coffee in San Diego so far!
They have my favorite oat milk (Califia) .
The place is stylish, a lot of seating inside and outside.

My friend recommended I try this place and grab a cheddar biscuit. Unfortunately, the biscuit is no longer sold here and they replaced it with a parmesan leek croissant. The croissant was OK - I didn't love it, but could tell it was well made. The flavors just bored me (maybe I was too excited for a cheddar biscuit). To drink, I ordered the rose dusted vanilla latte and asked for it to be iced. This was so good!! The housemate vanilla syrup was such a good pairing with the rosewater. My partner got the Zaki cappuccino. It's described to have fresh mint and cardamom - we were more excited about this than the rose latte, however there was no mint or cardamom flavor. It was boring and bland. The amount of foam was more than half so the drink didn't last too long anyways. I would come back for the rose latte and would have rated Holsem 5 stars if it weren't for the disappointing Zaki and croissant. It's a beautiful spot with ample indoor and outdoor seating.

Very nice, stylish coffee shop!
As an interior designer it’s very important for me to go to nice places with good interiors, ambience, coffee and food.

The interior was stylish! I loved cute blue outdoor furniture at their “patio” area.

I also loved the quality of pastry (we got quinneman with blueberries and ginger) and Flat white.

Drinks are fancy but justifiably expensive because they do actually taste GOOD and are well balanced, well thought out drinks. Setting is great although it doesn't ever seem to be NOT crowded. So if you're looking for privacy, this is not the place to go. I am a fan though. They've consistently delivered good coffee to me, every visit. Must be why I'm always coming back.

Coffee was drinkable, almond croissant was nice but not baked on site (nothing wrong with that, but this is very common in my childhood town). Served in ceramic cup, good. Indoor seating available, but no sofas. Overall fine, but still looking for 5* coffee experience in this town. Overall? Meh

Good coffee. Friendly staff, on a more expensive side. An almost croissant was almost $6. Some parking on the street. Free wifi and plenty of seats. Some with plugs.

I got Guatemala pour-over. Tasty coffee, good atmosphere.

Easily one of the best coffee shops I’ve ever tried! If you ever find yourself in North Park and are craving a tasty coffee, tea, or pastry, Holsem is the spot to go. Their creative twists on coffees such as the banana bread cold brew or strawberry malt latte have folks lining up down the block every morning for a cup of goodness.

Minimal, modern aesthetic: delicious rose vanilla latte (get it hot!)
