Genteel Coffee Co.

Stopped by on a Wednesday afternoon and placed our orders right away. I tried a regular latte, which was so good. My husband had their signature Foxtrot latte and really enjoyed it as well. Very friendly and prompt service.

Great staff. It’s small so it’s a good place to have a quiet convo outside. Not the strongest wifi if you’re trying to work and no outlets outside! More of a grab and go place.

Genteel is the most unique coffee space in San Diego, if not the state. It's a great, wide open space, with Wi-Fi and plenty of room to do just about anything you want to do in a coffee shop. Although it almost seems disrespectful to call it a coffee shop.

If you haven't been there, you gotta go. It's definitely worthy of a stop when you're downtown. Come on in and get a cup o' joe and see what else he has to drink. There are drinks on the menu I haven't seen anywhere else. Justin and Karis are awesome baristas!

Excellent coffee joint in downtown San Diego. It is located in an inconspicuous warehouse, with seating spread out in the space. Ordered a pourover and banana bread. Coffee was great and the banana bread was excellent. Would return here whenever I visit San Diego.

Delicious coffee. Had a mocha and like that it was not overly sweet. Friendly staff and cute place too! Will be back.

I really wanted to give 5 stars but it wouldn’t be fair to other caffès that serve a true 5 star coffee.

This place is super cute and cozy with a great fresh and zen feeling to it. It makes you want to stay and have your coffee there. Presentation and location definitely deserve a solid 5/5.

I ordered a vanilla latte and it was missing that complexity I like in espresso drinks. I believe it was a bit under extracted, it wanted to be a 5 star coffee but it wasn’t. I’ll give it one more try in a week or two just to make sure it wasn’t one unlucky latte that didn’t come out right.

Cute shop. Well trained and friendly barista. Artisan roasted beans. Nice outdoor space
