First time visiting, and I fell in love with the eclectic, earthy feel of this coffee shop. Plants, your choice of cutesy coffee mugs, vegan pastry and drinks, and stickers! Seating with outlets, small group seating, and tables with unmatched chairs. Love the feels! Great coffee ☕️

Such a relaxing place to be. The atmosphere is quiet and calming. It's a coffee shop but I felt so chill it was like being at a spa. Had a steamed oat milk with a caramel syrup shot and I'm going to be dreaming about it until I can come back for another one! Also had a rose and berry pastry that was to die for. Biting into it was no different than putting my nose deep into the most fragrant flower. If you love rose, you've got to get this. Lovely presentation as well.
There's also plenty to buy, shirts and totes and such, but what makes this place such a gem is the plants that are for sale. Walked away all smiles after purchasing a succulent to take home and put on my balcony.
Come here when you want to escape and feel like you're in heaven for a little bit.

This outdoorsy, earthy coffee spot is like going to your neighbor’s and enjoying a slow morning on their back porch. Delight in the antique and mismatching furniture while enjoying coffee and small bites.
When ordering you have the option to pick your own mug for hot drinks, a collection that hangs on the wall besides the cashier. I think all mugs are about 16oz. There is only one size for hot drinks and one size for iced drinks. I’m happy they default to glass or ceramic cups, cutting down on unnecessary one-time use cups. And yes, they also offer to-go.
Alternative milk option is oat milk for $0.75 extra. Not available are packets of stevia, raw sugar, etc.
Pastry options, heck yes. This morning I went the top two rows were vegan pastries. The cashier said they try to have at least four vegan options every day. The (vegan) jalapeño cheese galette is savory and so delicious.
🌱 Plants are for sale all around the cafe, entrance, and seating area.

Garden Coffee is the place I go to when I need a little extra joy in my life. Just walking up I can almost always hear laughter! From the friendliest baristas, who even when they are busy, will connect with you and patiently give you their best recommendations, to delicious drinks and pastries (the jalapeno galette is something to live for) to the cutest patio ever, my soul feels so happy every time I come. You can tell that every decision, menu item, and piece of furniture there has been set up intentionally to create a space that cultivates beautiful community and delight!
I haven't done it yet, but this would also be a darling space to rent for an event, party, etc!

This place is good for the soul! On top of an amazing environment, you’ll get good drinks, snacks and get to chat with the sweetest baristas. Definitely worth a visit and my favorite place to work.

Such a lovely coffee shop!
It’s hidden at the back of some stores at front. Walk past the stores and saw a secret-garden-like place. Ordered an ice latte and coffee was good. There was a bit of wine fermentation note to the coffee.
Plants and vintage furniture everywhere created a relaxing atmosphere. Saw some people brought their laptop and there were plugs available. Recommend!

Love this place and it’s vibe!
They had vegan, GF, and nut free options so both me and my friend who have more allergies than we can count were able to enjoy some gorgeous pastries.
All of the options were delicious.

This hidden gem is by far my favorite coffee shop in all of San Diego. Combining a simple yet well executed menu of hot/iced coffee/espresso/tea beverages, vegan pastries, gluten- and nut-free cookies, & even kid friendly beverages & treats; kind & friendly baristas; WiFi & plugs for your studying/working needs, & patio cozy seating makes for a wonderful experience every time I’m here. Parking is very easy to find. There’s a lot across the street for four hour free parking, street parking when the lots are full, & is not much of a walk if you’re parking a couple blocks down. I discovered Garden Coffee at the beginning of the summer & have been visiting almost weekly!

Fake Hype!!! I honestly feel everybody just being nice with the five stars. The outdoor coffee shop is cute. The coffee is not it. I’m from the coffee city of Seattle and if you’re too you probably won’t enjoy the coffee…the coffee is extremely fruity or taste like chocolate milk. Extremely disappointing with all the “Fake Hype” from Social Media
