Tried to come a few times but it’s too crowded with remote/hybrid workers. Ironically it’s called Communal but it’s WFH central with no where to enjoy coffee and snacks with a friend or family member. Honestly a little stressful trying to dine in. The food and coffee were average.

The only thing that needs to be said about this place is that you're already missing out because you're not here yet.
1. Endless Instagram photo ops so all your friends can see how trendy you are.
2. Delicious and high quality coffee to bring out the inner connoisseur in you.
3. Flowers, because they're pretty, like you. And you deserve to surround yourself in like-company.
4. Ultimate validation that yes, you are this cool, and no, you didn't run here after reading this review.

Great cream cheese croissant, nice latte. Loved the atmosphere and little backyard. Also there is a little market with crafts, and a flower shop in this place. Highly recommended.

This Place i think is one of the best coffee shops in san diego, nice service good quality products and it smells good inside with aromas of flowers floating around!

Hands down my favorite coffee shop in San Diego. The cutest vibes, gift shop and great coffee and other food options. First place I go every time I come back to San Diego!

I really like communal, I love their seasonal options, i feel like they’re unusual and not something you can get at any other place. That’s awesome! My problem is that whether I go to this one, or the air stream in South Park.. I just never feel welcomed by their employees. Everyone is so unfriendly and like.. just have such a “ugh whatever, what do you want” attitude. It’s so hard to explain, but I feel it any time I come in to the north park location. Any time i do a mobile, i walk up to the counter, say hi and that I’m there for a mobile and today, for example: The girl at the counter didn’t say anything to me and continued her conversation with her co worker. I only knew the drink was there because of the printed out receipt with my name on it. I’m also a barista, I know how days can be good and days can be bad.. but I’m always friendly to anyone who’s friendly to me. I always say hi, smile and am nice but I never seem to receive that energy back lol. It’s just weird.. it’s not going to stop me from coming in, but it’s definitely off putting. Just try to be nicer?

Amazing coffee, and the staff is super helpful if you ask them for recommendations. There's also tons of outdoor seating in front and out back. Definitely try the toast sampler, you won't be disappointed!

Love Communal so much! What else is better than enjoying cute flowers and great coffee at the same time? Hopefully COVID would be over soon so that they can open up their indoor dining again!

It’s hard not to give this place 5 stars. They have an elaborate menu of coffee, drinks and bites. Their avocado toast is simple but delectable. The salted caramel latte is a crowd favorite. Definitely a spot to bring visitors. Indoor is such a cute and welcoming space including a flower shop and gift store.

A must see in San Diego! The lavender honey latte was amazing. Since I don't even like lavender, it was impressive. The latte was nice and sweet. The baristas were very friendly and weren't snobby in the least.
