They're famous. Chinese chicken salad famous. The fame is well deserved as it's absolutely the best CCS you'll ever have. However, they're other food is great too. It's nicer to sit outside than inside but it's your typical cafe table setup - not super comfortable but practical. It's a great place for lunch.

Huge selection of healthy, delicious prepared foods with daily changes to go or eat there -- plus a full sit-down restaurant section. Wonderful desserts & sweet items to go. I like your Chinese Chicken Salad so much that I drove from S.F. on Wednesday, July 1 to pick some up for a birthday party. I saw on your website that you were reopening on July 1 and also a message on your voice mail said July 1. Alas, when I arrived your sign said opening on July 2. Not only disappointing, but irresponsible to not change the date on your website and voicemail.

My sister and I had the tofu Chinese salad. It was so flavorful and full of texture. The dressing was spot on. The portion was perfect. We will visit here again and will recommend Comforts to friends, family and tourists.

Awesome for quick bites and to-go food! Absolute and very popular favorite is the Tofu Chinese Salad (they also make it with chicken). Great desserts and nice cookbook collection as well.

Their Chinese Chicken Salad is wonderful. I generally get a box to go, which is a great size for 2-3 people for dinner. I've also been for brunch, which is consistently great, as well.

Has counter plus sit down service has a small outdoor space allocated for each. The favorite dish is their Chinese Chicken Salad the small is big enough for most. The wait on both sides can be a little long...the place has been here forever in restaurant years. Breakfast is very good expect 12+ if it has meat. Coffee very good, bakery very good, food very good, Service very good parking during primetime not so good.

Comforts is insanely popular. Their Chinese Chicken Salad is so popular that it is like printing money. All the takeout food is good, and the cafe is also excellent. This is just about the best place in San Anselmo for a casual and excellent meal or snack, or for a take-home meal. They deserve their popularity. May they stay open for a very long time.

Wow, the pastry and deli counters, the breakfast sandwiches and coffees... An absolutely wholesome, genteel, civilized place in one of my favorite towns. Lunchtime in the hosted cafe with friends is great. Wonderful staff and patrons. The catering is always perfectly convenient.
