Let me start off by saying that I really did want to fall in love with Onit Coffee. They have a wide range of drinks from milk teas, to lemonades, to coffee, to smoothies - truly something for every taste bud. Onit Coffee is located in the front of the Arden Fair Mall (so parking is a breeze, which is always a plus), and it has it's own entrance so you can still quench your thirst long after the mall itself has closed.
Unfortunately my visit to Onit Coffee left me feeling a little lackluster with the quality and flavor of their drinks. Maybe it was a combination of going on a busy Sunday, choosing, the wrong drink, or them having too large of a menu to make every item in a high-quality manner. I arrived on a Sunday afternoon and selected their pomegranate lime green tea with green apple jelly and their dragonfruit lemonade with lychee jelly (both of which fall under their category of Onit Jelly drinks). It was a fairly busy afternoon, and I waited about 10-15 minutes for my drink, not too bad in my opinion, but for anyone looking for a quick pick-me-up drink (and/or in a hurry) this might not be the stop for you.
I found the dragonfruit lemonade overwhelming sour - sour to the point in which my lips physically puckered. I will also note that I did get the drink with regular sweetness, so it's a little challenging for me to wrap my mind around how sour the drink was. The sourness of the drink completely drowned out whatever dragonfruit flavor was supposedly present (also worth nothing that in general dragonfruit is a pretty light flavor, but this was over the top). Overall, the drink was almost unpalatable to me.
The pomegranate lime green tea for some reason it was almost flavorless and honestly tasted like sugared water. I will note that I did get the drink with regular sweetness; however, that alone should not have completely overwhelmed the advertised flavors of pomegranate and lime that the drink should have had.
Overall both drinks were pretty disappointing, especially since I came in with such high hopes. That being said, I do think Onit Coffee has a lot of promise and whenever I'm in the area again I'll definitely give them another try, perhaps going with one of their boba drinks would be a better - until then!
Stopped in here a few times for caffeine during Mall shopping. Their selection is off the hook. The staff are always kind and helpful. Some of the best iced coffee I've had in ages (cookie dough iced coffee). Their Boba is delicious too! The dragonfruit and lychee is amazing, in particular! A Starbucks used to occupy this spot in the mall. And, Adios Starbucks. This place is much better.
They duck-tape your straw to the lid when ordering delivery. I understand not having the usual Doordash or regular restaurant stickers, but duck tape is a bit extreme. You can’t take the straw off of the lid though. You can’t take the strong tape off either without breaking the lid off. It’s not a regular soda lid, it’s a boba lid. If that rips, there’s no going back. So if I was at work or away from my home, this would be a bigger issue. Thankfully I am at home, but there’s no point in the straw since I’m just gonna dump it in another cup. Not worth $7, that’s for sure. Other places charge $3.50-$5. I shouldn’t have to cut through or fidget with thick tape to enjoy a drink or food. The tape was not needed at all. It’s so strong and stuck-on that I’m able to hold the drink up from the coaster without the straw bending. No tape that extreme is needed. I’ve never experienced this before at or from other restaurants. This is a bad first experience and it may be my last if that’s how they do delivery orders.
I really enjoyed the drinks here, they're very delicious and flavorful. Your looking at spending 5-6 per drink, but make sure to ask for less ice I was a little disappointed when my drink was empty in under 5 mins, but that's not too much of a probably for next time.
The mocha was not that good. It didn't even come close to other coffee places 😕. Loud rap music doesn't make for a memorable experience either. Get some experienced people and some business sense.
Awesome little boba-style tea & coffee / protein shake shop in the Arden Fair mall.
The shop has cool vibes and tons of delicious choices. I slammed my low sugar “snickers” protein shake. And yes! I did get a brain freeze but it was worth it
Props to Sarah for helping us out and making awesome shakes
I've seen their pictures on Instagram I recently tried onit coffee last week at the Elk Grove location first time being there. I loved it they're very creative when it comes to their coffee and drinks something new and hip. I really enjoyed it the location is cool a food truck but for coffee I liked the atmosphere and great costumer service.
I never tried crack before but I'd imagine it's something like this. I ordered the snickers mocha. It doesn't taste like snickers but pretty damn tasty for a coffee. I feel super duper woke. Hitting me with a burst of energy, a lot harder than Starbys. I'm just hoping I don't catch the jitters. Cheers cafe lovers.

I got a coffee smoothie with Boba and it was amazing! And I'm very picky with my Boba but this place had great staff and the Boba tasted amazing!

The drink and boba here can be a hit or miss, but my go to drink would have to be the dragonfruit lemonade! I love the sweet sour taste to it.
