Theory Coffee Roasters

I am so bummed because I actually love the coffee here (and that they have hemp milk) however the last few times I have been in, the customer service behind the counter has really been lacking any warmth or attention. It seems most the time the co-workers are engaged in conversation with each other and when you ask a question or try to engage they seem bothered by you. Not a very welcoming and friendly staff in my experience which is a bummer as it deters from wanting to get the great coffee they have. I know the vibe is trying to be more 'trendy' and 'chill' but being friendly is basic customer service :)

Theory coffee is a wonderful third wave coffee shop. They have friendly and knowledgeable baristas. Awesome food and relaxing atmosphere! Great homework spot for students. Delicious home roasted espresso and fantastic kombucha for the non coffee drinkers.

So far so good. It was nice to find a coffee shop that offers indoor dining so I could get some work done. Not sure if others do right now or not, but this place kept their Google listing updated - much appreciated. Aside from the food, they have beautiful Claro walnut tables.

Had a cortado with a fruity sweet flavor I've never experienced before. The sodas are great, and the croissant and quiches are nice savory bites to keep you going.

When we found Theory It quickly became our favorite place in town. The coffee and food are excellent!! The atmosphere is wonderful whether you’re meeting with friends or just flying solo!
Reminds me of my favorite Brisbane cafes.

Best coffee north of Santa Cruz. Maybe anywhere. And the people are great! Super friendly and experienced baristas. Atmosphere and location is also cool. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating.

Best coffee in town with the best coffee menu in town. Delicious pastries and they even have beer on tap for later in the day. All around a great local business to hang out and chill at with family and friends.

Great spot! Little gem for good coffee in Redding

I love Theory! I’ve never gotten bad coffee here. It’s a great place to sit & do homework, meet with friends, or just to grab a drink to recharge. I love the way they are involved with the community, too (Monday night football is a fave). Such a great addition to Redding.
The only bummer part is the parking. It can be difficult to find a spot in the parking lot, so sometimes it’s wise to park down the street and walk.

Our family loves Theory! We frequent here often with our 1yr old son and they are very warm, inviting, and personal! They do an excellent job with their coffee, kombucha, and beers (and I have high expectations)! Lastly the atmosphere is one of the best in Redding. Definitely a place ALL should visit and stay awhile to enjoy!
