I walked up thinking I would be impending traffic but as I got closer I noticed the other side and walked around to see what was there. From the road side you would think it is only a drive through coffee shop but walk around to the parking lot side and there is a walk-up order window and a whole seating area. It's pretty neat.

Along with the various coffees, there are also pastries available. I just wanted coffee so I did not pay too much attention to the other items.

My friend and I walked here after breakfast so I could get another cup of coffee. (The coffee was not good from previous place where we ate). I figured Hug-a-Mug specializes in coffee so it must be better. It was!!

Since we already ate, I just ordered a small cup of cappuccino. The price list annotate the cost being $4 but as I go to grab some cash from my wallet, the lady inside informed me that, "it's on us"! Surprised, I thanked her for her generosity. I was in uniform after getting off the night shift so I assume that is why. It was much appreciated.

When I got my order, the first thing I noticed was the cup. It was artsy and fancy looking. By touch, I could also tell the contents was hot. (My coffee from the other location was not hot). By the first sip, I already knew the contents didn't stand a chance. I probably finished half before making it back to the vehicle.

I know where my first stop for coffee will be now.

The people are friendly, but the coffee was just ok.

My daughter got iced coffee and I got hot coffee-neither one of us finished our coffee, we ended up throwing it out. Given the reviews, maybe it was an off day.

They have a nice seating area and lots of space to move through if needed. They also have a drive-thru.

I wanted to like it :(

I really enjoyed it there. The amazing young lady who's running the dinner, done a nice job on cultivating a friendly, comfortable, welcoming, yet lite hummer atmosphere. I know I look forward to returning with a friend. So , if you're looking for a place "serving good food and friendly staff, just a great little place to eat.

Super nice and convenient coffee shop. Great seating and shade. Good specialty coffee menu. I recommend Marisela’s Mastachio. The owners are very nice, personable, and have a good sense of humor.

My girlfriend and I just found this little coffee place on our way to Monterey, and it is one of the cutest little coffee shops we have seen! The ladies were so friendly and knowledgeable. The decor is beautiful, and the coffee… is absolutely amazing. We had the Ritchie and the Marisela… hands down one of the best coffees! We will definitely be back and look forward to our next visit :)

TLDR:
An amazing find! Fantastic menu variety, with exquisite coffees and hot chocolates. Comfortable and relaxed backyard style seating, with a speedy drive-thru experience.

Order: Small (12 oz) Hunters Haystack
Small (12 oz) Ritchie's Nutty Caramel

Racoon Rating:
Centered in the middle of a parking lot, this sweet little pop-up café manages to transport you to a relaxing garden patio by providing shaded picnic bench style seating to accompany the sweet & savory pastries, and the specialty coffee drinks that the Hug-A-Mug baristas beautifully craft to your liking. Pick from their tasty originals, or switch it up with the variety of flavorings and milk alternatives. Despite not having Trash Panda favorites like Last Night's Latte or Expired Espresso, their delectable coffee concoctions will leave any human craving more.

The employees are cheerful and friendly, with hospitality that sets the mood for their patrons to truly relax, breathe and take in the moment. An additional plus is that you have the option of sitting alongside your favorite trash tribe
reminiscing about last night's dumpster dive (and a fresh donut from the shop next door!), or hitching a ride through the drive-thru to make a quick stop on your way to work.

This establishment just recently opened and they're well on their way to becoming a local favorite. I highly recommend stopping by and having a sip for yourself. I'll be keeping an eye out for your leftover mug to hug.

Hug A Mug has become my favorite coffee spot. The coffee is fabulous! I love the creative options and that I can order a regular coffee or latte as well.

The real difference that draws me to Hug A Mug is the kindness and friendliness of the owners. They have taken the time to know my name and I’m greeted with joy each time I’m there.

The outdoor seating is a wonderful spot to spend some time or to meet a friend.

Great place for coffee. The ladies are amazingly, quick, funny and molte intelligente! If your looking at getting a quick coffee and other breakfast foods certainly see Paula and her girls! The coffee is good and they're so personable.. ciao ciao la Donna

Awesome coffee (being from the Southern hemisphere, I can be a bit fussy).

Why would anyone go to the big chains when such personalised service from nice people delivers great coffee.

Highly recommend.
