Alfred's Coffee in Pacific Palisades is the best. Despite how busy the location can be the service is quick and the staff is the best. Lyric, Bryan, and Danika are amazing. They do a great job of treating customers with dignity and understanding. By far the best place to get coffee in all of LA.
Nice place. Beautiful setting. The coffee is not good. The lady who was making the coffee was in a hurry. The coffee overflowed of the cup. She tried to wipe the cup out and give it to us. The problem is that it was a Latte; it shouldn’t be treat like a drip coffee
Good coffee but ever raise ur voice rudely at anyone because i didnt pick what milk i wanted in less than a split second … ill stick to drinking redbull - to avoid bs like that thank u -
This place is terrible! I ordered a drip coffee and it was cold. Cold! This has never happened to me before at an establishment with “coffee” in the title. It might be understandable to sell cold coffee accidentally at Sheetz, or Tiger Mart, or Joe the ragman’s shop down the way. But this is Alfred COFFEE. It’s literally all they do. I give them one star. Half star if I could. Will not be back.
I applied to work at Alfred earlier this spring. Their application is incredibly meticulous- considering the job pays barely more than minimum wage- and includes multiple essays, a résumé upload, a cover letter, etc.
After submitting my application, I was invited to come interview at Alfred Palisades Village. When I arrived on-time for my interview, the manager was incredibly curt and told me "just wait outside, okay?" After twenty minutes alone, she came outside and bragged that she had read my résumé three times and knew a lot about me. One minute into the interview, I made a reference to my leaving for college in the fall (something that is noted in a big, bold font on my résumé.) She immediately ended the interview and said "we're building our brand, so we don't want seasonal employees. We're done here." Either she assumed that the "Chicago" on my résumé was decoration or, more likely, didn't bother to skim the long application she claimed to have read multiple times.
No apology, no proof that Alfred was only looking for longterm employees (I checked the website afterwards and found nothing,) not even an offer to validate the parking ticket that already cost $2 after 20 minutes. She just stood up and left. That's a half-hour out of my way that I will never travel again– for better service just stick to Alfred Brentwood or, quite honestly, Starbucks.
It is as good as it sounds like. The environment is gorgeous, it's in the Palisades village with lots of high-end luxury boutiques with clothes, candles, decorations, and food, coffee as at Alfred Coffee, and small grocery store as in Erewhon or even a bigger one as in Gelson's. I prefer Alfred over Starbucks because it is more intimate, better situated, and it feels very welcoming. On top of that, the coffee tastes really good, better than all the special latte that you can get at Starbucks. Definitely love this place!!
Long line. So you need a lot of patience. It was my first time to go there. I have seen this in social media. Ordered HOT CHOCOLATE. Waited for 15 minutes because I ordered around 4 pm, busy time. And it was 1st of january.
HOT CHOCOLATE was not hot. It was LUKEWARM. It was mediocre.
I can see that they are understaff. But the 2 staffs working that day were nice and polite.
