I love Heartwood! Always amazingly delicious and deeply nourishing food. Great menu, alternative bread options, seriously worth a visit. I love the various bowl dishes and tonic beverages.

Delicious toasts, excellent soups and salads, and fantastic coffee and other unique specialty drinks. Try the Heart Of Gold--delicious steamed milk with coconut oil, cinnamon, turmeric, and cardamom--perfect for a cloudy day. This place is as hippie-dippie millennial as it gets, and it's full of charm and creative fresh food.

Food was great. The young woman at the counter acted like she couldn't care less about anything than us being there. It felt like we were imposing on her just being there. I was a little relieved just to be done with the transaction and unburden her from our presence. Overall great though other than that.

I've always liked this place a classic califor ia hisper place that sells avocado toast with a twist...it's not 11 dollars. Also a great drink menu and huge salads. Vegan paradise

4 stars rather than 5 because some items are very overpriced (e.g 1 piece of tosted bread with avocado and sprouts for 5$. Tasty, but i don't think that price makes sense)

The place is killer. My body's been asking for more veg. lately, and this place does the trick - locally-sourced, organic, super fresh ingredients at affordable prices. Always see a friend or two in there. I eat there 1-2x/week. Love it. So stoked they're in town!
