We get coffee here quite frequently; the lines can be long and the seating is limited, but the coffee and croissants are very good. Tried very tasty Ube latte today.

I've wanted to try an Affogato for a while now, and I'm glad I came here with a friend. The barista was super insightful and polite when we asked him how the Chemex pour-over works. I recently started getting into coffee, so I've been asking around. It's small inside, but there is a setting outside as well.

The affogato itself was an absolute treat.

once we arrived we quickly noticed that it was a very busy friday morning and a small line formed out the front door. they made our drink correctly but besides that; the customer service was a bit lacking or at least that's how i felt. it was a generally okay experience but i expected better.

I moved to Mountain View 2 months ago and have been going to 1 Oz coffee at least every week if not more since then. It’s wonderful. The monthly specials are always great (I got the rose cardamom latter 5x) and the Ube latte that is a menu constant is superb. It is a bit pricey, but maybe I’m just not used to California prices yet…

Our favorite coffee shop in the Bay Area! My wife and I just LOVE riding our bikes to grab an espresso drink here. I love the cortado (Gibraltar) — it’s just consistently great! The avocado croissant is yummy too — a tad pricey but delightful!

Small coffee shop with occasional specials. Sitting in and outside available. Good coffee. My go to coffee shop on Castro.

Best coffee shop in the area.

Update May 2023: Still the best coffee in the area with great brewed coffee and nice halva flat white. The service become hit and miss and depends on the shift. Some shifts are great and some mediocre. With ultra premium prices , I’d expect more consistency. One star down.

Best 3rd wave coffee and light roast beans in the area. Baristas know their stuff, are skilled, and are v v cute 🙈. Great place to sip a pour over, savor an espresso, and enjoy the morning.

Quick Update: Their lattes and cappuccinos are cold to lukewarm but there is a solution - you have to say “extra hot” latte/cappuccino and then you get something at the appropriate temperature.

The lattes and cappuccinos are great. But the issue is they make them lukewarm for some reason. All they need to do is heat the milk properly. I have no idea who decided to keep the temperature this low but they should fix this.

You might think I just prefer lattes hotter than usual, but that’s not the case. I drink 2-3 lattes a day from different coffee shops in the area. 1 oz has the coldest hot lattes of any coffeeshop I have ever visited in my life.

The sad part is they used to make them at the right temperature about 1 year ago. Someone down the line decided to lower the temperature significantly screwing things up
