A line out the door but great service and so many pastries and dessert to choose from only thing I would say is a wait. Lots of tourist for sure.

Very good variety and quality of croissants keeps me coming back. Unfortunately they serve a terrible Croque Monsieur...cm translates to Mr Crunch but instead their version is a soggy mess with no crunch. They're not made fresh so I understand it's a time vs quality deal.

A little busy but worth the wait! The princess cake was a first and a new favorite.

pretty good stuff there, but also long waiting times for just a little snack - it seems the employees are a little bit overstrained

Forget about the diet and run, don't walk, to this bakery where the gorgeous display of confections is entertainment in itself. Then nibble your way through a Napoleon or pain au chocolat as you swoon ....

Absolute WORST experience. Ordered 3 pastries & 2 drinks & we waited for more than 30 minutes. Had to go & ask twice for our drinks! First Lady we asked was not helpful or apologetic at all she was the older lady with the glasses. Finally got one of our drinks, but still needed the other one. So we continued to wait & stood in the front & all the employees would not acknowledge us or would look at us & ignore us. The cashier that helped us wasn’t friendly at all & had like a rude smug face. We finally asked the nicer girl didn’t catch her name, but she was very kind & friendly to everyone she spoke with, about our drinks & she was very apologetic & made our drink first priority. She had a braid & some black dangling earrings, she was very nice so we are thankful for her service. We finally get our drinks & leave. We were so fed up seeing everyone come & go & we still had to be waiting. To top it off the pastry I got (carrot cake) was so stale & tasted nasty. Never going back there again worst experience ever. Mind you we were very patient, my sister wanted to leave even though she paid for something she didn’t receive. Horrible place.

Super friendly staff who learned my name right away. They take Android and Apple pay in case you forget your wallet. Large selection of pastries, pies, cookies, cakes, petit fours, breakfast items (sweet and savory), full range of tea and coffee, and fresh baked loaves and baguettes. Also a good day-old section.

❤️❤️❤️ I’ve been coming here since I was a kid visiting Carmel with the family, so it has a special place in my heart.

The food is excellent as it always has been and I adore the quality of service. The Parisian music is relaxing and it’s situated on a quaint corner near town.

I didn’t try the WiFi since I could tether to my phone, but it exists (not sure if for customers or just employees).

Come here! You won’t be disappointed!!

Love ❤️ love 🍰. I'm sad they stop making one of my favorite croissant. It had spinach and a white cheese. It has been a little more than 10 years since I had visited the bakery. When I lived there, that was my favorite go to. The cashier explained after the pandemic they stopped making it. 😔 😟 🙁

The best bakery in Monterey for authentic French pastries and breads. Great service, too!
