Paris Bakery Cafe

We absolutely loved this place!!! Fresh baguette and pan chocolate with coffee. Lots of other amazing treats from cookies to marangues. Everything in the place looked amazing. Our pan chocolate were buttery and very delicious. Coffee was hot and self serve.

We were visiting Monterey for the week, and one day we wanted some baked treats. We found Paris Bakery on google maps, and decided to give it a try. The service, pastries, and coffee were all ok and reasonably priced. No problems at all, but in terms of what we remembered about our trip, nothing at Paris Bakery stood out relative to other places where we had desserts in Monterey. Also, most of the staff was not wearing a mask.

This place is almost always busy but for a good reason. I got a London Fog drink and it wasn't too sweet. My favorite pastries have to be the strawberry tarts and banana chocolate croissant. If you aren't from the area plan to go around 9 AM or earlier so you can find some parking.

By far my favorite bakery in Monterey, they have the best Almond Crescent topped with powdered sugar. Their bakers are some of the best around, the cakes, cookies, and deserts offered fresh will suite any taste any they have something for everyone's fancy. Daily, Paris Bakery makes fresh bread that is delivered to some of your favorite Monterey Restaurants. Any bread that did not sell the same day it is baked is available the next day for a discount. The day-old bread is in the baskets right next to the main entrance and if you don't look to over your right shoulder when starring at the fresh goodies you will miss the deals. Eat in and have a mimosa while enjoying a made to order espresso or a dirty chai. (My favorite)

This has been a family favorite place for years. Very welcoming staff very helpful and if stumped on what to get they always have a plethora of very delicious recommendations. Authentic French cafe and bakery

As tourists, we couldn't help but be gleeful at the proximity to the main public parking garages. We made a stop on our way back from Fishermans Wharf to get reasonably priced pastries for the road.

We got an assortment for our drive down the coast. The croissants were buttery and flaky, and the cakes were moist. The little fruity tart tasted super fresh.

The real star, though, was the princess cake. We got the smallest one, just perfect for two. The rosy marzipan shell was a wonderful surprise since we hadn't read the description before purchase. The mousse inside was somewhere between clotted cream and clouds, and all of the flavors blended together in delicate and heavenly harmony. Yup, definitely felt like a princess devouring that cake.
