The atmosphere seems nice, but takeout is not worth the effort. I ordered a hot chocolate and it not only took 10 minutes to be ready, but it was pretty cold (more like lukewarm chocolate milk). This is probably a better place to hang out than to actually buy things from.

That coffee shop in an amazing location in pretty Menlo Park down town but the store management is very sloppy. We went there yesterday and ordered a latte and mocha, but both were cold. We asked the barista about that and he wasn't interested. We settled at a table that was so dirty. There was a used plate, forks, and bottles on it, and we waited around 10 minutes for a waiter to come and clean it up.

Very cozy place. Delicious coffee, cakes are available. There is hot chocolate for kids, so it is nice to visit with the whole family

Nice vibe, good coffee and snacks. They know how to make a proper milk froth for cappuccino (not the foam you get from Starbucks and most other chains). Though, very crowded and a little loud at times.

I love Coffeebar, but I hate the current atmosphere. It feels more like a WeWork than a coffee shop. People set up almost full offices in what used to be a friendly neighborhood coffee shop and just sit and “work from home” all day. I’m here now, and there’s a guy with a laptop stand. All the two-tops by the window are occupied by individual laptop workers.
The WFH crew don’t seem to even order that much, but they take up all the seating for hours and seem irritated at people having conversations or bringing their kids. The atmosphere would be much better with a laptop ban, or perhaps restricting the number of seats at which it’s acceptable to sit with a laptop for three+ hours.

[Covid update] limited seating inside, most people that come here are respectful and mindful of social distance. The staff are awesome as always and service is usually speedy, helpful when it comes to my thousand questions like what's your unsweetened dairy free milk?
Food portions are small, coffee are well roasted and tasty.
✭✭✭✭✭ Overview: bright and bustling throughout the morning, a good choices for breakfast and lunch, vegetarian friendly and different selection of seating from window seats, to booths and communal tables.
✭✭✭✭✭ Location: within 10 minutes walk from the Menlo Park Caltrain Station, it's hidden in the alley keeping it away from the main stream traffic of El Camino.
✭✭✭✭✭ Ambience: modern and chill. A variety of interior design choices from vintage looks with the booth, with modern industrial look made of cement flooring and wood paneled walls. Love the different seating choices.
✭✭✭✭✩ F&B: coffee & cappuccino well prepared. I tried the oats which was a new combination of goji berries with almonds. The oats were a bit watery and the almonds tasted slightly overly sweet; still the portion was good and waiting time was great. Much better was for lunch when I had the bowl. Much smaller that I expected the ingredients were fresh and beautifully dressed.
✭✭✭✭✭ Service: friendly, they even refilled black coffee of an old grandpa for free!
Wi-Fi: stable for 90minutes.
Big tables: available but come in early to grab a seat
Outlets: few sporadic ones: found one near the windows and in between the booths.
Noise level: lounge music that doesn't hinder from business conversations or chit chat with your friends.
Cleanliness: mostly clean, bathrooms were ok.

Nice upscale design and top notch drinks and pastries. The place fills up early and stays busy, biggest complaint is it's popular and can be hard to find a place to sit. My first choice coffee shop in Menlo Park.

Updated 5/15/2021: Hands down my favorite coffee spot, still, post pandemic. What a great team, solid espresso, and overall mission that is consistent with all their chains. I still frequent the Gibraltar and seasonal drinks! I do miss the espresso millionaire bars!
Updated 7/15/2019: Still popping! Drinks are definitely still solid. The baked goods are a hit, can definitely tell they are not mass produced.
Soft opening review! Coffee vibe from the Tahoe, Reno, Truckee area. Staff was very friendly, and coffee quality is on point. Although there was a bit of miscommunication with my order (me partial to blame in my non caffeinated state, yikes!) the overall experience was nice.
Gibraltar/Cortado was smooth. I appreciate how Coffeebar is putting in efforts to be eco friendly, including baking their muffins "naked" styled, raw linguine for stir sticks, and a $0.30 discount for BYOC. Way to be green!!
Lots of good study space and socializing areas. Outlet plugs are a hot commodity, but with the 3 hour parking limit from 9am-6pm, you should probably be getting up to move around every now and then.
I arrived at 0720 with a handful of folks in the space. By 0900, it was bustling, with a large line and full tables. Bathrooms do need a bit of checking in every now and then, and the music volume can be a tad loud, but nothing out of the ordinary.
Excited to see their improvements and full hours and offerings. I am looking forward to the next visit!

Swanky Facebook cafe - very polite staff. Lots of seating space.
Got the cappuccino with oat milk. Was not good - could simply not taste the coffee - only tasted the oat milk. For the price, I had higher expectations.

Poorly managed place and rude staff. Ordered a simple dry cappuccino, waited for 20 min and checked to be told ‘they didn’t have a ticket for that’ with no acknowledgement of the delay. The cappuccino was anything but dry and nothing to compensate for the horrible experience early in the day.
