Great crab cake sandwich and fish tacos. Nice protected outdoor dining area and very attentive service. Would definitely go back.

A charming restaurant. Good food, good service, dog friendly, great ambience. We just happened on this place, tired and hungry after walking all over Mendocino. I am so glad we did. I will definitely return next time we're in the area.

Seemed like a really nice place, atmosphere was friendly getting my food and we got bread and butter added to our to-go order. If your looking someplace with S.F. Bay area vibes this place is it.

We had 36 USD for two cakes and two coffees including tax and tip. But the worst part was the toilets.
They say they are the showpiece of a restaurant. They were the most disastrous toilets on our US trip.

A few weeks ago we came through on a Saturday afternoon, town was busy and places were filling up quickly. The staff at Mendocino café quickly put together seating for us (four adults and two adolescents). Food was excellent (clam chowder!!), we all had different seafood dishes (except the kids of course), while the place was hustling and bustling the staff was courteous and great. You don't always get this on a busy Saturday in a tourist town. Facilities were clean and well kept. I will make it a point to stop at this place again on my next trip through town.

We had such a good experience we went back again for dinner the next evening. My husband especially loved the roast with mashed potatoes. Delicious salads, seafood and Thai dishes. Excellent service and wine. Our kids were extra happy with the cheesy noodles. We'll be back next time we're in Mendocino.

We had a truly delightful dinner experience, the flavors were outstanding on our fillet mignon that was perfectly cooked, juicy and tender. We also had incredible salmon dim sum, truly memorable! Ambiance was relaxed and fun, and service was attentive and helpful.
This restaurant stands out in spite of being surrounded by fancier restaurants, and we landed on it based on the recommendation from our bnb owner, who said this is his favorite restaurant.
