Great stop on our drive down CA1 for lunch. This was a rare find or just luck as your options for really good food are limited. Simple but tasted great with a glass of wine and view of ocean. Nice little patio with beautiful landscaping. Mendocino is a nice little artsi town to visit as well.

A great local eating experience. Not sure if ingredients are sourced locally but the restaurant felt “family-run”.
Food tasted great, portions weren’t too large and service was great.
The dessert was ok, we tried the carrot cake. Found the cake slightly dry. Would definitely eat here again.

Absolutely fantastic. I had the Brazilian fish stew and my husband had chicken satay. Delicious. Staff are friendly and efficient, great outdoor seating and perfect location. It was excellent!!

This is the best cafe in Mendocino, without a doubt.
We ordered Minestone soup, Quesadilla, Huevos Rancheros and Thai Fire Pot. Every single one of them was fantastic. Their fire pot has a strong resemblance to Thai red curry. The ambience is soothing. There’s outdoor and indoor seating. Staff is really polite and welcoming.
Definitely recommended ✅

Perfect casual lunch, loved the fish tacos and the Reuben sandwich special. The food is fresh and has a perfect home cooked and quality touch.

If you’re visiting Mendocino like we were, this cafe is a great spot to stop for lunch. We loved our food and really appreciated the attentive service. We were traveling with our pup and thankfully they are dog friendly! The food is delicious and the outdoor patio (where we sat) had beautiful views.

We stopped in for lunch on a rainy Monday. The service was excellent the food exceeded expectations and the price was fair. The tomato bisque was excellent. The steak and Brie sandwich was on a perfect ciabatta roll and one of the nicest sandwiches I’ve had on the north coast. We split the sandwich and it was plated for two and generous enough for a light lunch. The outside patio is very CoVid safe. A light lunch for two cost $40. I highly recommend this cafe.

Outdoor dog friendly seating. Covered with heaters since the pandemic, but they had patio seating pre pandemic.
Firepot is soooo wonderful!!! Fresh ingredients full of flavor.
Pasta florentine was great. Pasta and chicken cooked perfectly. Also bursting flavor.
Also this place has the best breakfast burrito.
Service is fantastic and always served with a smile!

Felt like having a great meal after many days of eating in small town diners serving platefuls of cheesy pastas. This one did not disappoint - high quality tasty food, great vibe and excellent service. We got blackened fish, Thai bowl and chicken satay along with wine and an excellent dessert that was tart and not too sweet. We would love to come back.

We drove out to the coast for a weekend day trip to Mendocino. What a beautiful day. Sunny and 65 degrees. Friends told us Mendocino Cafe was a was stop. There was only outdoor seating. It was very comfortable. Nice menu options. We had mussels and clam chowder. More than satisfied. All in all, a wonderful experience!
