Drove by this place so many times...finally had the chance to try it out. Interesting interior...feels somewhat cluttered and looks like someone's garage with a bunch of antique stuff. I wouldn't stay here to study or anything because I would feel claustrophobic.

Nice spot to grab a coffee and sit outside. Their coffee is on the same level as Intelligentsia and other LA favs.

Great coffee, also try out the different bottled cold brew coffees they have, like the honey flavored cold brew.

This Stumptown location is awesome! The only one down here in LA and they brew delicious espresso drinks here. Great location right towards the arts district in downtown, and they have a few places to sit and enjoy the atmosphere or take a peek at their massive production area behind the bar. Would definitely recommend as a solid place to get a craft espresso drink.

I love this place. I will go out of my way to save (calories & money) to splurge one of their almond milk mochas, they are so delicious! Also, the bear claw is to die for and the pesto breakfast bread (If you are non-vegan like me, these are better bets than anything in which your taste buds might be expecting a more meaty flavor). The vibe is very welcoming, as are the staff.

I'm not a big coffee drinker and wouldn't know anything about a roast, blend or origin just by taste. But I can taste quality, and the folks behind Stumptown seem to be doing something right that sets them apart from their many, many competitors.
I've been to their shop a couple times now while visiting friends in LA. It's an open, high-ceilinged industrial space with a nice area to sit outside. It has that unavoidable hipster vibe, but that's more due to the clientele. I went with my usual go-to, a mocha, and found it rich, creamy and satisfying. What really impressed me was their cold brew. I sampled my friends and loved the flavor and caffeine zing. It comes in a bottle so it's nice and portable.
I'd never go out of my way for a coffee (personal preference), but if I lived in the neighborhood I could see myself coming here quite frequently.

I don't like sweet coffee.
But their mocha is the best mocha I've ever had. It's not sweet, it's perfectly dark chocolate-y. Big difference than any mocha you think you've had. Very enjoyable for people who like black coffee and want to change up their palette a bit.

Absolutely amazing little coffee shop! Hospitality is outstanding and the coffee is supreme. So clean and cozy! The cold brew on nitro is just out of this world! Perfect way to start my birthday weekend! Thank you for not being too far from us!!

Simple and industrious. The coffee factory behind the store front is showcased through a window wall. Their iced latte is smooth, very balanced. I was hoping to catch the coffee tasting at 1pm, but I didn't see it going on. Maybe I was supposed to ask for it? Overall, this place is great as a stop for coffee if you're in the area.
There are plenty of high stools to sit and study and there are tables outside. I came on a Wednesday afternoon at 1pm - there was no line and there's plenty of parking in a lot a block away.
