I love this bakery. The cakes are delicious 😋. The assortment on bread is not like before the pandemic but still good.

The pastries are delicious. My two issues are as follows: hearing the term "fresh bread" being yelled at 7am is a bit annoying. Also, the manager needs to realize you don't train new staff during the morning rush.
But the pastires are so yummy.

I've been to all the 85° in so cal, and even though I have nothing but observational data, I truly think this specific one in downtown LA bakes the best pastries (in case you're curious the one in Sherman oaks bakes the worst lol). For first timers I recommend the strawberry bun!!!!

Great Bakery, but won't bother to stop here anytime after 6pm unless I'm looking for boba. They always seem to be out of their more popular pastries after that time.
Update 2/8/17
Turning my three stars into one.
Don't expect this place to accommodate you in any way.
They just refused to sell me a drink without their signature salty whip cream bc "its important to the recipe."
I told the girl I hated it. She apologized then continued to tell me she could not sell it to me without it. (Note they add it after they make the drink) I also asked for no ice, she said they had to add a little bc "it's also important to the recipe". After that I told her I was never going to come here again since they refused to do something so simple. She apologized.
I just don't understand why my request could not be accommodated. Or how she could allow me to walk away so disappointed.

They had a limited selection compared with other 85C locations. The bread was also rougher and tougher than the other locations. Maybe it's because it's a smaller store with smaller facilities. Had I not been to the other locations, I wouldn't have know better, but in comparison to their other stores, this location is undesirable to me.

Nice and all but no Restroon and small space but still 5 stars!

85° finally opened here in DTLA! Centrally located on the corner of Wilshire and Hope. The bread, cakes and drinks are all still yummy here in the new location but unlike its suburban counterparts, the space is quite tiny and can make maneuvering aid quite difficult during busy hours. Parking is also a small issue here. I'd suggest walking here or coming with another person and sending one in while the other waits in the car.

I love 85C, but I'm giving this DTLA spot 3 stars because of a rude employee. I had dropped my drink outside and the cup broke, so I went back in holding it in a certain way to make sure it wasn't spilling like crazy. I didn't want to put it on the counter because it was dripping, and I asked if he could help me throw it away. The employee just stood there and then he replied by saying "What are you doing!? Stop spilling all over my counter!" I explained I couldn't let it go or all the liquid would come out, and he was so "annoyed" he didn't even listen and snatched the cup out of my hand which resulted in the drink spilling on the floor. He then gave me the rudest look, and mumbled under his breath. Not only that, he was also giving attitude to his co-worker. Very disappointed that this one employee ruined the DTLA 85C for me.

Awesome service that makes you feel welcomed. Try out the Ham and Cheese and don't forget the coffee. Best delicatessen I've been in a long time.
Warning!! Homeless run rampant and are a concern

Amazing! This is exactly what I want to make if I wanted to make a bakery.
