Nice place to chill and have a good hot cup of tea. A fun and relaxing place to visit. I'm sure the coffee is fabulous.

if you haven’t been to common room, get some common sense and GO! their coffee is fantastic, and the baristas - caleb, ryley, and nani - are all wonderful.

I’ve tried a lot of roasters in California and out of state and the beans here is One of the best beans I’ve had . I will definitely come again and try other types of beans

Common Room Roasters (CRR) is a specialty coffee establishment [hidden in Newport Beach]. Inspired by the sensational Melbourne coffee culture, CRR is housed within a contemporary brick building, next door to the international strategic agency Passport. With roughly a dozen stools inside and live tunes played-out on the weekend, this is an animal-friendly environment where you can feed your stomach as well as your soul. Whether you want to sit at the communal table tapping away on your laptop or chew the fat with your friends at a two-seat table against the butt glass walls, CRR can cater towards your liking.

The owner and captain steering this ship is Ed Moffatt. Ed uses the freshest beans from all over the world - Ethiopia, Kenya, Costa Rica to Melbourne, etc... Ed (and his excellent baristas) know their beans and are happy to help you choose something that will suit your flavourful profile. There's also a small menu of simple foods; albeit the team is seriously focused on all things coffee. They roast it themselves, which is quite a sight and smell. Rumor has it, that in the near future CRR will host educational tasting courses for those interested in the complete roasting process. You can kickstart your coffee addiction by purchasing a bag of freshly packaged beans, plus the necessary tools to brew a fresh cup of joe at your home. Furthermore, CRR has a growing retail space where you purchase awesome products that make great gifts for friends and family, such as the Memobottle!

From the new 2017 renovations, you can sense that Common Room Roasters has an ambitious coffee operation with plans for world domination. I personally drive 30 minutes from home to start my mornings off with a strong poured latte. Ask for their award-winning 'Americas Best Espresso.'

Lovely staff, unique flavors of coffee, cozy atmosphere. Try their coffee beans if you have a grinder!! (Or ask them to grind for you)

Excellent coffee. Ed and his team take pride in roasting and brewing coffee to the highest standards. My go-to is the classic flat white. If you are serious about coffee, please go here!
