Birdcage Coffee House

This place is the best coffee shop in the area! Owner is an extremely gracious person. The coffee I had, a Vanilla Frappe, was really good too. They only accept cash, and you will have to pay for a parking meter.

This is a lovely little coffee shop with terrific ambiance and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The staff are courteous, friendly and inviting, and the coffee is excellent, much better than Starbucks. If you are in the area, do yourself a favor and stop by for a cup!

This is without a doubt my favorite spot in Long Beach. It feels like a little paradise inside a coffee shop. They make the BEST cafe mochas. I love sitting in the little patio area, because I feel like I'm in a forest. Greenery, knick knacks, flowers, art..so beautiful. In the back they now have a little cage of doves (Birdcage, get it?) and I love to watch them and listen to them. Very laid back, I've never been there when it's very crowded, of course I go in the early mornings. Servers and owners are wonderful as well!

Good was absolutely fantastic and they have such an array of options for drinks. The attendant was super nice and the decor is beautiful and viby. I would have given this place 5 stars for the exception that it's a cash only place with no atm so we had to drive to a bank to take cash out just to eat here.

My partner and I care to work on some personal assignments. The atmosphere is great it feels so home-y. The chai latte with soy milk was AMAZING! Definitely recommend and plan on coming back.

The owner is so sweet, we were bored making time for our plane back home and he managed to speak with us for 2h.

Lived across the street for a few months, only just actually checked them out (I don't drink coffee much, and they don't have that much else.) But I was in one of those moods last weekend where I really wanted some caffeine: their iced white mocha was pretty fantastic. Way better than Starbucks, and way cheaper, too. It'd be a pretty cozy place to hang out, too, if you were looking for that.

Great drinks and a nice quiet atmosphere. Wonderfully decorated too.

I love this little locally owned coffee shop! The owner is very helpful and friendly and the price is more than justified by the quality of the coffee + the speed and courtesy of the service, not to mention the beautiful shop with indoor, outdoor and patio seating and the all around ambiance (and free WiFi!)

Ideal place to girl chat with a cup of coffee, read or study. The ambience is nice and relaxing. The cozy outdoor patio is big enough to fit maybe 6people.

It seems like Mexican hot chocolate is the must-have-item here. I was craving for coffee that didn't taste like Starbucks so I ordered an ice vanilla latte... It was ok. It's not something i'll drive 10minutes for but I am willing to try their hot chocolate next time I visit.
