South Side Coffee Co

All the typical I-came-in-one-time-and-my-experience-wasnt-jaw-droppingly-magical-so-only-two-stars reviews should be disregarded (as usual.) This place is a local gem and its owner/employees are like good neighbors. Good coffee, good breakfast, cherry cobbler, the paper, plenty of parking on the street, and a relaxing atmosphere. If you cant see past one instance of an overly-ripe avocado, youre whats wrong with restaurant reviews.

One of the oldest buildings in Lompoc, is where this experience starts. Five different kinds of coffee and five separate crafts for the customer to choose and pour for themselves. This place is popular with locals but there's plenty of seating and tables inside and a few tables and chairs outside as well. Little wide assortment of bagels along with a wide assortment of different cream cheeses to go with them. Their house made sandwiches and soups are excellent as well.

Expensive for commodity coffee. My cappuccino was more of a late with coffee grounds in it. Just milk foam with no fancy high end pour, which is why this is over priced coffee.

The food is a different story. It is prepared very well and you will know exactly what to expect.

Essentially, enjoy the food, and keep to filter coffee.

Lompoc doesn't offer much options of restaurants and coffee shop. But this Coffee Shop is a really good place to enjoy many options of coffee tips. The staff is nice and the environment is cozy.

Beautiful atmosphere and friendly service. Delicious coffee! My only complaint is how long it takes to get my drink. Theres usually only 2 baristas so it takes about 15 min.

Southside is the best! Great atmosphere, great food selection. All of it is delicious and served with a smile. In fact I just moved, and one selling factor was that it was within a block of Southside coffee!

Nice coffee shop. Beautiful atmosphere but my first experience wasn't the greatest, the shop reeked of sewage. It was so bad I had to leave to enjoy my coffee and bagel. I just couldn't be in there for long. Smelt to bad..

I'm a Starbucks fanatic like 3 times a day sometimes fanatic and after discovering this little gem here I find myself craving their products. Everything in there; pastries, little signs, shirts etc is local and the atmosphere is so relaxing. It makes me want to curl up and read a book. Such a homey, welcoming place. I'm so glad I finally discovered it! :) 10/10. A must try if you're visiting Lompoc!!
