Story Coffee

Stopped here on my way down 580 driving to LA. I didn't want Starbucks or Peets but something more specialized. They just opened a few weeks ago and I couldn't tell, the place was packed but the Baristas were working like a well oiled machine. Decor is clean and cool with nice living plants everywhere. I got a sweet latte and croissant for the road. Was great, will stop in again here when I come back up north. I would compare it to a Verve or Blue Bottle type vibe, definitely not what I expected coming into Livermore for coffee, pleasantly surprised at how this Story played out.

Staff was super friendly and my iced pumpkin spice latte was delicious!!

I do a lot of walking. Two large dogs and an early wake up time. This has given me a chance to sample, in the quiet hours, all the espresso spots in downtown Livermore, and Story nails it. Good crema, excellent flavor and a staff that knows their business. Plus they didn't object to my dogs following me in.

I love the new location and new hours. I can stop by every morning at 7:15am and get my latte or mocha on my way to the train. Then on Saturday I can hang out and sip on several drinks. A great staff and great coffee what more do you need!

My daughter and I had a refreshing oat milk iced latte, an amazing hot honey tea latte and butter croissant, baked this morning!

Story Coffee in Livermore is unique!

Best coffee in the Tri-Valley hands down! From the atmosphere to the staff to the drinks this place is spot on and amazing. They have the option for oatmilk for those who can't do dairy. Try the whiskey latte with oatmilk. Trust me it's amazing!

Excellent coffee! My go-to fav is the honey tea lattes.

Friendly service. Cute space. Parking available in lot or on the street. No caramel, no straws, and no outlets to charge your laptop (what???) lol

Hands down best coffee in Livermore... especially the off-menu (in store) Whisky Latte! And they sell Starter Pastries... a winning combination!

Friendly staff. Americano has good flavor. They are a bit snooty in their dealings with customers, however For instance, they insist that they add the cream to your Americano. They don’t take cash. At all. As they explain, “it is legal tender only for debts; not for a product that is exchanged without debt.”
They’re new: hopefully they’ll soften some of their hard lines over time
