Epic Café

My boyfriend and I stopped by Epic Cafe after searching for gluten-friendly eateries and we could have not been any more pleased with our experience. The gentleman who assisted us was very friendly and knowledgeable about their menu. Nearly everything was gluten-free or could be modified to be gluten-free. Honestly, after a week of traveling we were just happy to find food we could eat, but when we opened our to go containers we were thrilled! Such large portions and everything was as fresh as can be and absolutely delicious!

Easy to call in for pick up. Menu was found on their website. And the food was delicious! Got the tri tip dinner.

Great pastries and food. Will return!

The service and cafe outdoor dining area are excellent. The menu is rather simple with a number of healthy and delicious options. I ordered the Turkey chipotle sandwich with a spinach/strawberry/walnut salad, which were both prepared very well. My wife ordered the kale Cesar salad with chicken and a noodle soup. She was equally impressed with her order: Simple, fresh, and delicious.

This place is also extremely family friendly.

I will make it a point to stop and eat here the next time I’m passing through.

Everything we had was exceptional! The salads were so fresh and delicious. All they're salad dressing we're home made and amazing. We got some of their home made brownies with even home made whipping cream on top, A-Ma-Zing! Along with the service, everyone was so nice. Definitely a family owned place for sure. I can't say enough good things about this place. Even the bathroom was insanely cleaned and we'll stocked. If I lived here I would eat here probably once a week. You should go here for lunch for sure. They also had breakfast on their menu so I'm coming back to try their breakfast!

I had my birthday dinner of lamb shank, fresh sauteed vegetables, and red potatoes served with a strawberry and spinach salad for about $26. This was the most expensive item on the menu (because it WAS my birthday). It was excellent and well-prepared. My spouse had chicken pot pie with the same salad and loved it. The staff were friendly and outgoing. Love this place. Healthy and delicious food. They gifted me with a brownie served warm with whip cream. Magnificent, but I suppose not quite as healthy (and I ate every bit!) We are staying two nights in Lee Vining and will go back.

Gorgeous food, long time sinds I had some good and healthy food in America. Tiny paradise with beautiful kolibries flying around. Loved it!

Went Epic Cafe for dinner after sunset viewing at Mono lake. Found the place due to its high rating and nice green salad side on the photo. The host is extremely friendly and efficient, and the food is amazing, definitely the best we had in our 4-day stay at Mammoth Lakes area. The price is reasonable too. One panini sandwich is served with side salad of choice or a soup, healthy and balanced.

Wow, this cafe was amazing! I read reviews of it before we went and have to admit I was a bit skeptical of all the glowing remarks, but Epic Cafe has earned every one of those excellent reviews! We all ordered different items on the menu and every single dish was superb. A great example: my kids ordered fruit to accompany their meal, and the cup was overflowing with an incredible variety of fresh, ripe fruit. In all dishes, the attention to detail, flavor, presentation, and fresh ingredients was amazing.

Don't leave without trying the carrot cake....the pieces are huge (we split one piece among four people) and it was hands-down the best carrot cake I've ever had.

And, try to eat outside if possible - the gardens are beautiful and make for an incredible backdrop for a delicious meal.
