good breakfast burrito, expensive but it's enough to save for lunch later!

I was a dining critic and columnist, publishing dining reviews in national magazines, newspapers, and columns and covering dining around the world on my radio show from 1995-2016. I can honestly say that with over 900 documented professional dining experiences at every venue from the smallest mom and pop coffee shops in Puerto Rico or Austin, Texas to the finest dining at the Ahwahnee, the St Francis, the Biltmore, or on Cunard Cruise Line, I have never seen ANY establishment treat their patrons with such outright despicable rudeness and unprofessionalism. It is simply inexcusable. Foresthill has been a special place to me since the 70’s when I used to ride my horse into town as a kid spending my summer vacations here while growing up in Carmel. Very disappointing to think that anyone visiting Foresthill for their first time might experience this level of hostility and lack of hospitality, respect and kindness as their first impression.

Wish I’d have taken a picture but forgot. The oatmeal raisin pancake was so unique and really good. BF has the Mess. Some of the best sausage gravy I’ve ever had. Very low overhead place with plastic utensils and paper plates but worth the visit.

Stopped at Mega’s as we saw their high rating and we were traveling from out of town. When we entered there was no greeting but the cashier yelled for me to close the door. Cashier wore a face shield and cough directly into her hand and continued working and taking orders without sanitizing or cleansing her hands. I’m all for a small town cafe but this does not excuse proper hygiene when handling food and beverage. It was 5 minutes before they began serving lunch. One of the customers asked for a lunch item and was told they don’t serve lunch until 11am, it was 10:55am. The customer asked if they could place the rest of the order and wait to submit the lunch order until 11am and was quickly turned down. Needless to say, we cancelled our order and left to eat at another establishment that would appreciate their guests, especially during this time. We were a group of 11 so it’s unfortunate they lost out on this revenue for the day.

Best brekefast really good coffee very friendly home town service.
You really feel that they appreciate your business. And are happy to serve people that appreciate their hard work.
Eat here as much as I can never had a bad meal or poor service.
Respect the locals be kind and enjoy.
Can't do that keep driving.

WOW! Are you kidding I don't understand how this place gets so many positive reviews. I ordered the sausage and eggs and what a terrible meal. First off they serve you on paper plates with plastic utensils tacky, then my over medium eggs were so under cooked I don't think you can classify them as over easy. I asked very kindly if they could cook them a little more and I heard the cook complain about having to do them properly. The home fries were dried out as though they had been on a warmer for several hours all I can say about Megas is drive to Auburn don't stop!

Breakfast burritos worth the wait. Chorizo good. Country burrito amazing. Huge burritos that came with sour cream and salsa on the side. Coffee also good.

DELICIOUS hungover breakfast. 4 stars in that case - crispy potatoes, tasty toast, perfectly done eggs, fatty sausage, a smoothie if you're looking for balance...

3 stars in the normal case, as I'm not sure I could stomach the grease or quantity normally. And the smoothies aren't actually fruit, yogurt, or anything real, they're more of the ice and flavoring type.

That said, the staff is really friendly and the price is right. Even if it's all served on paper plates!

Very good breakfast burritos and Coffee with generous portions. Pretty busy and we didn't wait long, everyone there had a great attitude.

Food is great. I'm a meat and potatoes guy, but today I had the Veggie Deluxe...yummmm.
I've not seen it crowded yet, but it's got a cozy, friendly atmosphere!! Try it and you'll see!
