Too much curry! Most of the menu has curry in it. I ordered an egg sandwich today, which didn't say it had curry in the eggs...the menu said eggs, cheese and plantains. Got back to the office and there is strong curry in the eggs. Had I known this, I would not have ordered it. I also ordered a potato onion soup a month or so ago, and expected it to be potatoes and onion. Nope! It was curry too! I didn't taste anything but VERY spicy curry and ended up throwing it away and stopping to get a burger instead. I'm really disappointed because the owner a few years ago made very good, regular American food. Now they even put curry aioli on the sandwiches! The menu is much smaller than it used to be and not your typical coffee shop food. I honestly can't say anything I've had since the most recent owner took over that is very tasty. And one item I was about to order I was told would take 30 minutes to make! Who wants to waste half their lunch hour waiting for sub par food? I'm sorry, I really wanted to like this place. It's close to my work and I like supporting local when I can, but other than the girl who works there being super sweet, I really can't recommend it. I'm really bummed!

Lavender latte: Excellent flavor.
Americano: Tasted a tiny bit overdone but still good.
Cinnamon roll muffin: Nice sort of bouncy texture, very cinnamon-y flavor. Sweet, slightly salty nuts and cinnamon filling in the center.
Service: Super friendly and helpful.

Excellent little cafe. Their espressos and dirty chai are just about perfect, and the atmosphere is really nice. It’s a small space, but with plenty of food options if you’re ever stuck on Jury Duty & need something in walking distance for lunch :)
Also the staff are super friendly :)

Cute little coffee shop. Americano was bold and great. There's small bite foods which felt like a step up from the gross Starbucks stuff.
Service was nice and atmosphere is modern. Few seating areas though which was my choice in 4 stars. Definitely give it a chance.

I have had the distinct pleasure of frequenting the Grind since September 2017. Across this time, Monday through Friday, I have always had a great experience. The owner (Janeen) and her son (Brandon) always have a smile that lights their entire face. They are warm-hearted and caring. They’ve put their soul into wanting each customer to have a positive experience. You are treated like a valued member of the family.
The wide variety of food is consistently above average and their coffee is very good. Her daily soups and sandwiches are from scratch and awesome. Over time, i have enjoyed getting to know each of them, as well as, the great group of regulars that make the Grind a daily stop. It is such a happy way to start my work day that I’m even excited on the drive to work each morning knowing what awaits me. I am blessed to have Janeen and Brandon and her regulars make my day a brighter one. Thank you : )

The Grind Cafe is a nice coffee place with a pretty good selection of food to eat for breakfast and lunch. I like the layout of the cafe. It feels good and pleasant. The Staff is wonderful. The Blueberry muffin I had was really good. So if you are in Downtown in the morning. Come check out the Grind! Cool little spot!

Great atmosphere with healthy food options. It is really nice that they have a fairly large table tucked away in a somewhat private corner which is convenient for meetings. It would be wonderful if they had more food options that were absent of the 8 major food allergens, soy, corn, wheat, dairy, canola, peanuts, tree nuts, and sesame seeds.

Janeen is the BEST. And so is is her staff. Aside from having amazing food, their service is so warm and accommodating. She welcomes customers almost like she is hosting them in her home. And that’s exactly how The Grind feels, like a friend is making you lunch and a coffee. And that’s the best part.
