My friends invited me to this quaint family owned coffee cafe in Escondido. My friends said this place is like Cheers, where everyone knows your name, and what you probably want to order if you are a frequent customer. Love it! Friendly Staff, inviting atmosphere, indoor seating, and outdoor patio. They even offer local artwork for sale that is part of their ever changing decor. I ordered a chicken salad wrap. It was fresh, moist and tasty, along with a tall iced Americano with whipped cream and a drizzle of caramel.

Amazing staff and even better drinks. They bring in random little foods so when you go in its not always the same stuff. They have the bagel and normal coffee shop foods but they also have overnight oats that are delish! Their pour over coffee is amazing and their espresso roast is nice and bold without the acidity. Great gem in San Marcos.

The employees of this shoppe are friendly and likeable...unfortunately, the hours they are open leaves a lot to be desired and their location in a very small strip mall (off a very busy street) leaves a lot to be desired. I wish they were in avocation with more ambiance as you can find down Grand in Escondido

Love the coffee, sales girls are great, friendly and a really cute place. Cubano coffee is the very best like no other place. Can't say enough good stuff about this place. They're open at 6 a.m. and the line is out the door every weekend.

Everyone at The Blue Mug is super welcoming & nice. They truly have great coffee & other options. But the owner is a Beautiful Ray of Sunshine! That's why we drive from Rancho Peñasquitos to our Favorite Coffee Spot. You can take your family there, relax, talk, hang out & just have a great experience! Blue Mug is #1☕

Nice neighborhood coffee shop. Not pretentious at all and most (all?) the coffee is organic which makes it worth the slightly out of the way drive to here rather than the other local options. Mostly from Santa Cruz Roasters but a few roasts available from other local SD roasters. Cold brew available, bonus points for that.

Great neighborhood coffee shop with friendly staff and great coffee. Wide selection of beans for pour over from Santa Cruz roasters. Nice pastries and breakfast sandwiches. Nice place to meet up with friends and catch up on the latest happening in Escondido.

All lady staff but I am sure it's not intentional...

It's the perfect little coffee shop to get a morning boost. I always come here when I'm in the area. They have a wide range of coffee and teas to try. Each cup is ground and brewed just for you when you order it so it's always fresh!

This is our new favorite coffee cafe for when we are in the Escondido area. The baristas were always warm and friendly and we visited multiple times during the week we vacationed in the area. I was always more than satisfied with the drinks we got. Can't recommend this place enough

Great Coffee, but still lacking a bit on my DRY, BONE DRY Cappuccino, even though i have given them countless chances. However, regardless of that, this is a wonderful coffee shop. Owner, very cordial and they support the police, the military, etc.....
