The house blend coffee was excellent. Great panini sandwich too. Friendly and efficient staff. Hope to get back during our short stay in Encinitas.

Absolutely the best! A gazillion coffee spots hereabouts, but Jaffe and I swear by the Lofty Bean. Never a dull moment with the awesome and outlandish staff. A nothing but the best and organic everything! We try to NEVER begin a roadtrip without a pit stop at the "Bean" before getting underway. HIGHLY recommended!

The coffee was fine but the pastries were not good at all. I had the vegan cookie and my husband had the lemon blackberry cake. Neither of us finished our pastry.

Hands down the best coffee in North County. Hate your prices love your product. What can I say i'm sucker for perfectly poached eggs. The staff is super friendly as well .

Lofty is one of the better coffee roasters in the SD area in my opinion. They have a limited food menu, but what they have is delicious. Natural slants to all their fare, and baristas that know what they're doing.

Tried the panino Italiano and croissant. Panino was ok-ish since the pepper and artichoque weren't fresh. The whole sandwhich was somewhat soggy. The almond croissant was really good!

A cosy little place on a hill. It's near downtown Encinitas, but out of the way. The coffee is great and the baked goods delicious. I had an oatmeal-chocolate cookie that was substantial and yummy.

Great coffee, especially some exotic latte drinks (try the Moroccan). but be warned if you ask for alternative nut milks it will cost you your right arm (they make them fresh in the store, but still very expensive!)

We ordered two French roasts, an American panini and a farro bowl. Half the order was incorrect. The sandwich that came out was the wrong one and the farro bowl never came. Turns out the farro bowl wasn’t put into the computer when we ordered and the sandwich was put in as one we didn’t order. The sandwich was remade, my husband and kids done eating and then the farro bowl came. The latte was fine but we won’t be coming back here.
